My friend...[Mature] Hmm, yet another odd post of mine. I may have deleted previous ones. My friend and I have been getting into debates about cybering and what it means. If you cyber, are you still a virgin, or are can your character still be considered a virgin? It is an interesting debate. She wonders if it would be considered cheating if you have a boyfriend to cyber. I maintain yes, but she says then why isn't watching porn considered cheating? After all, it is the same idea. I guess this all ties into the debates we get into about online dating. If you own more than one sn, can both your characters online date? I maintain no, she maintains yes. I find it interesting at least. And I am curious about other people's opinions. Except no one reads this journal. So I suppose she should post the message rather than me, since she gets tons of responses. But whatever. I was just kind of curious. I don't really see the point of cybering, but she seems to enjoy the thought sometimes. I dunno.

	cybering is wrong i mean there is no point to it all u do is like write down what u would be doing it has nothing to do with u in real life so i say cybering is pointless

	I am inclined to agree with you. There really isn't a point to it. But now my friend is curious as to what happens with her character.

	There is a point sometimes to cybering. To combat the lonlieness of your RL. To do something. To delude yourself, at least for a little while, into thinking that you are something. (Sorry.. kinda depressive, but mostly true)

	I guess I see your point. And now that she has someone in the RW, she has no real interest in continuing stuff online. I guess I see your point, darwin2kx. Makes sense. And yeah, it makes you feel special, especially as a girl.

	Yes, you are still a virgin if you cyber- but your character isn't. Yeah, I agree, cybering is cheating- as is porn. I think even online cheating is bad, since you might think you can pull it off in real life- which is always disastrous. And yeah- cybering is pointless- basically for people who eat butter all day and play gaia, and consequently have no life.

	LOL... i agree with your views... cybering when you have a boyfriend.. to me, is considered cheating. Let's say this.. in cybering, you ARE the character. You're the one conveying the thoughts of sex online. But in watching porn, those people are.. well, pornstars. They aren't you.. it's a very.. very mature movie really.. and then... lol... for the online dating with different sns.. well, i guess if it's ONLY strictly roleplaying.. but then, if you're misleading the person into thinking those 2 sns are 2 different people, than it's wrong. And seriously, how wil lyou maintain 2 relationships.. only someone who's used to cheating could do that...

	Silent Comet: It is and it isn't. I think cybering involves a much more personal level, which is what I don't like about it. Starluvr: It would be difficult. It is difficult to maintain multiple SNs in the first place. Though fun at times.
