I don't know about other countries, but here in america, the standards for being "pretty" about 25 miles past high and well into the strawberry jello land of f@$^ing ridiculus. For some, super models (though there is in fact nothing super about them, they don't fight Mr. Freeze or the Riddler by night, but oh, well) are set as the average and anything below is considered ugly, which I don't get at all, because some of those called "ugly" look EXACTLY the same as the models but have more than dry bones under their skin.

I've heard people (that are probobly in some way blind or retarded) say that one girl was ugly and another very similar girl was some warped term of endearment that I'm pretty sure translated to beautiful. The only real difference between them (as far as I could tell) was their breast size. Surprise, surprise, people rate beauty, something they've probobly mixed up with sex appeal, by what they see in movies and magazines.

One reason this pisses me off is that people give in to the psychotic standards and have a trip to the surgeon's office so they can think they're different people and that someone will love them now.

Another reason is that they're probobly right, they'll get plenty of attention from shallow dips#!ts and probobly form a dysfunctional little family, popping out more shallw dips#!ts.

Yet another reason is that people misuse the term beautiful so badly it's lost all meaning when talking about a person. To me, beauty is like an aura of some sort, hard to put in words unless you use the ones right here. T'nA (sp?) is NOT beauty, it's a whoreoff.

My final reason is that appearance shouldn't matter at all anyway. What happened to the stories we were told in youth about true love based on emotion not cup size? On reflection, they may have been a pack of lies, but the message is pretty clear; love not lust, children.

BOTTOM LINE: The only things appearence is good for is distraction and letting others know if you want a mate.
