Who's idea was this? Are people so busy/lazy that they don't have time to go out and look for a mate as they used to? Why would you trust the internet to find someone you'd marry? I think describing a person in a search engine and waiting for it to spit out "we've found exactly what you were looking for!" would give preconcieved notions of the person that aren't entirely true. In other words, people might just be telling themselves that they love their search results because it said they would.
I understand that lonliness can be humanity's achilles heel and that most people are hard to get along with on any signifigant scale being that so many seem to seek little more than sexual gratification, but is it really that hard to try with someone that isn't as desparate as you are yet? Then again, I suppose throwing a description of your ideal fish into a river and hoping it'll jump out and say "no need for a pole, I'm right here" is about as good as sitting for weeks on end in a boat talking to yourself and twitching.
"I'll get that whale, oh, they'll see, I'll get her, I'll..."
BOTTOM LINE biggrin ating websites don't seem like a great idea, but niether does the old fashioned way.
That's this week's rant, I'm the Ominous Jester, Goodnight.
