How can anyone love themselves to the point of amorousity? It's remarkable how many people would marry themselves given the chance, or a cloning machine. They may be attractive, but to be in love with yourself just doesn't make sense.

For one thing, alot of people look good, which makes it considerably less meaningful to look good yourself. For another, why are you above other people with acceptable appearances? Many folk look exactly the same as others yet consider themselves more attractive. Why? How? Have I missed something, are they better in some way, are they just blinded by ego?

If you love yourself that much, ego is almost certainly the problem. Note that word; PROBLEM. Ego is a problem that is best resolved with clear thinking, here's a sample.

"Regardless of appearance, I am valuable for my ability to think, act, and live as a human being, my flesh does not make me special in any meaningful way"

That may sound like a prayer to be recited every 14 steps by a mountain dwelling monk, but today's self-loving fools might benefit from it, assuming they can gather the syllables together correctly.

That's another thing; most of the people that love themsleves seem to be f#%&ing stupid and probobly need help to dress themselves. The reason for that is their way of thinkning (you've seen it before) "Because I say so." They think themselves great simply because they are themselves, and what could be better than that?

I know your parents and the school system may tell you you're perfect, (it was a few rants ago, in fact) but if they told you to think with common sense, you might just realize the error of your logic, become depressed to know you're not a great, perfect god walking with mere mortals here on earth, and probobly kill yourself. Better dead than gazing into a mirror, I always say.

BOTTOM LINE: If convincing yourself of your own total superiority over everything else is the only way you can stave off suicide, think deeply about your choice.
