• Chapter 1
Draken lay asleep on the sandy shores of the Kryan penninsula, and was awoken by a tight pinch of a mud crab, was startled and rolled into the murky water. Getting up he was steadily gaining balance, he stumbled across a bridge that led across the river. He heard loud hoofsteps about a kilometer away. He rubbed his eyes a good few times and looked up at the blury unknown figure. As he made out the uknown man on horse back he saw his dark brown leather armor with ornamental designs and iron bindings clinging every piece of armor together, an iron helm, leather boots, leather gauntlets, and leather greaves.
Draken hid behind a boulder because he did not know anyone of these parts. " Wh-who are you?" Draken said with slight fear in his eyes. " I'm a guard of Deliria, now i'm going to wrap this rope around your shackels and you're gonna come with me... got it! " the Deliria guard said with a crackle in his voice. " Yes, sir." he said. " Now hop on the horse!" the guard replied. Draken and the guard rode off in the mist towards Deliria. A week has passed and Draken has had barely anything to eat or drink and they can already see the outer paliside walls. " 100 coins and you may pass!" the highwayman said eagerly. " Move from my path or die were you stand!" the guard yelled. " Fine have it your way!" the highwayman screeched. They both steadily unsheathed their swords and readied themselves for battle.
" Tell me thy name of whom I fight? " ordered the highwayman. " Eldis Delin." stated the guard. " Well then lets get this started!" encouraged the highwayman. Eldis lowered his sword and aimed at his attackers legs. The guard did a swift stroke towards his right leg. The highwayman jumped over the sword and landed with little balance. The highwayman striked straight towards Eldis' head then the guard took his blade and twisted it around the attackers; thus knocking his blade from his hands, and Eldis kicks him to the ground. The attacker spins swiftly on the ground thus attempting to trip Eldis but he regained his balance before he fell. The attacker stood quickly and deheaded the guard in cold blood. " Now i guess i'll take this slave as my own eh?" the highwayman mumbled. " I won't go down without a fight!" Draken squeled. " Another, ahh this should be fun." stated the highwayman. " This shouldn't take long at all." said Draken.
Draken wielded Eldis' axe seeing as he wouldnt be using it anymore. " Wrong choice!" stated the attacker. " You would think!" shouted Draken. Draken lunged foward at the highway man; all it did was put a dent in his armor. The attacker with a swift swipe sliced Draken's arm. Suddenly a shrewd looking druid came, held her swirled staff in the air and shouts "You shall not slay this inoccent while i'm around!". Quickly she stabbed her staff in to the cold, damp, muddy ground; and within' an instance nothing was where the attacker stood but a pool of blood.
"Come on I could have had him." stated Draken. "No you wouldn't have I could sence every movement you where going to make... you would have been killed in an instant. "I think your readings are as crazy as you." "That's not a way to speak to someone who saves your life." mumbled the druid. "Why must I get stuck an idiot Garozzlek; why not a musculant Karnik?" she said in her thoughts. "So what is your name?" Draken asked curiously. "My name is Elinda Feldwin." she replied. "Ok, well I geuss I have one thing to ask you; will you stay with me on my travels?" wondered Draken. "That will be a great adventure...sure i'll come along." Said the druid.
Elinda and Draken steadily tred to the gates of Deliria; enormous palliside walls about 70-75 feet high. Guard towers about 10 feet higher than the wall with a hooded archer perched at the top of each. "Here at Waywater Inn. We're going to stay here for tonight; i'll buy us some food, it seems you don't have the money to buy some of your own, and I see how your travels were with Eldis...to bad he had to go in such short notice, with no warning; he didn't feed you so i'll pay for the room, why don't you make yourself comfortable." she said with slight exhasperation. "Will do." instantly replied Draken. Moments have passed and Elinda and Draken are sitting in their room eating some boar meat. "So what brings you to Deliria?" thought Elinda. "Well I was'nt planning on it. You see I didn't intend to come here; my land village was raided by the Elins...ruthless savages. They killed my family and all the warriors in my village I was the only one left they decided to keep me for illegal slavery. When they tied rope around my hands, they tugged me to the ship, then they tossed me in the cellar; it was a cold place down there, to many rats. On their way to sell me to some orcs we ended up being caught in a storm, big waves, in fact they were almost the size of the walls of Deliria only a little smaller. We were only a few hundred meters from the Kryan penninsula; we hit an enormous rock, hidden by the mirky waters." Draken said with slight breathe left over.
"The rock had stopped us dead in our tracks. They all knew they were going to die for they could not swim; luckily I could. A metal shard of the mast had cut my ropes, so been givin' that opprotunity I dove into the water. As I swam my arms started to become gradualy weaker overtime.
