• “This is it,” Leah whispered to herself as she slowly walked up the steps of her new school.
She pushed the doors open and stepped inside, stopping when all of the students eyes where upon her.
She knew that the popular girls glared at her from their little groups and the jocks checked her out as they put their moves on helpless girls that wanted to fit in. She walked down the hall with her head held high and she crossed their path. She listened closely as they whispered and giggled at her, “That’s the transferred freak from France.” She frowned and turned around, everyone grew silent. She looked at each and every student that was in the hall. “I’m not a freak,” she calmly said and smiled at the people that stared at her. The bell rang and everyone shut their lockers and pushed past Leah. She turned around and watched them leave. She shook her head and walked to the office door, pulled her bag over her shoulder, and walked inside the office. “Leah,” the principle hollered, “your 15 minutes late. Sit down, no excuses, and listen.” She sat down in the chair that was placed in front of the desk and waited for the principle to speak. “This is your new school, Leah. If you don’t behave, you will regret it,” he said firmly. She looked at him and replied, “Yes Mr. Folio.” He handed her the schedule and she left the office, throwing the already memorized schedule in the trash. “First stop….math,” she whispered to herself and walked down the hall to room 104. "I bet the priciple is a rapist," she thought aloud as she walked into math.
