• "Mr. Snickerdoodle! Don't hiss at me!" I said, jumping off the stove. Mr. Snickerdoodle went to join my pet fox who I gradually named Fox. Fox was sleeping, and he was making this weird sound that was like a paper ornament crinkling. I've heard it before, but it was the year my dad turned into an angel, two years ago; 2007.

Ding-dong!! The doorbell rang. I ran through the Art Room with only a couch and a TV and my latest pastel painting. I slammed against the door, therefore opening it. Wendalyn and Joey ran in, noticing Fox was in the same room. Wendalyn gasped as I got up, feeling a bruise on my arm. "Pippi!" Joey screamed, awkwardly hugging my arm. "Ah... uh... hi." I said, heartedly smiling.

"It's Christmas! Be happy!" Wendalyn cheered. "I've never heard of Crismast. Must be an odd day." I said, scratching my head. "No, not Crismast, Christmas!" She said, handing me a gift. She looked around, then said, "Pippi, where are your parents? Are you home alone?" I clutched my gift tightly in my small, pale hands and started to sweat. "Truth is... I don't have parents! It's very fun to be alone, though!" I exclaimed.

"Where are they?" Joey asked, squeezing Wendalyn's hand. "Well, my father's an angel and my mum's a travelist. She's traveling the world, and I believe this is her third week in Tokyo, Japan." I explained. Then I added, "But really, I'm not alone. I have Mr. Snickerdoodle and Fox. Cat and fox. Name equals animal."

"Pippi, we have to leave now, I presume. Tell Fox I'll miss him and tell Mr. Snickerdoodle I love him." Wendalyn said. She has a very English accent. "Good day then Wendy! I... can call you Wendy, right?" I said. Wendalyn smiled and nodded. "I'll miss you, Pippi. Have a nice day. Take care!" Joey said with the same accent. "Buh-bye, Joey! Come here tomorrow for tea and buns and cakes!" I said as they left out the door.

I sat and I waited for tomorrow to come. "Tomorrow, you get right over here or else I won't be able to eat and chat and drink with Wendy and Joey!" I demanded, sticking my fist in the air. At about 10:30 P.M., I heard voices outside my door.

"You say hi to her!" "No, you!" "Nuh-uh, YOU!" "Oh, fine. Hello, Pippi! It's us, Wendalyn and Joey, here really early! May we come in for cake and tea and buns?" Wendalyn said. I hopped up and eagerly opened the door. "The buns and tea aren't ready, but I have German Chocolate cake all ready to eat!" I said, dashing to the kitchen with Joey and Wendalyn at my heels.
