• Second Chances

“Are you sure about this?” I asked nervously adjusting the strap on the skin tight dress I was forcibly drawn into.

“Lighten up Kasey, have some fun for once in your life!” the almighty Destiny commanded.

“But…” I began but was interrupted.
“You look amazing, what are you so worried about?” she asked rhetorically.

“It’s just that…” I began once again being interrupted.

“Why must you always do what your parents tell you? Have you never gone behind their backs? It’s simple just follow my lead ok?” she rolled her eyes.

I didn’t feel obliged to say anymore. It’s not like it would make a difference anyway once Destiny has her mind made up there’s no changing it. It’s not that I'm scared I’m going to get caught it’s the fact that I know what we are about to do is wrong and no one should even want to consider doing such a thing but maybe that’s just me. Maybe I really am weird and this whole thing is what normal 16 year olds do.

“Corey just called everyone’s ready and accounted for” Melissa informed.

You see while destiny is the “wild child”, in which no one tells her what to do and no one disobeys her, Melissa is just the opposite, a follower if you will. If you ask her to do something she does it, within reason. She’s got a good state of mind and amazing goals but is also very chill and laid back.

“Kasey I think Parker has a thing for you” Melissa tells me.

I noticed that both Destiny and Melissa were gazing at me, waiting for a reaction.

“That’s a surprise? That boy has a ‘thing’ for everyone he comes in contact with!” I rolled my eyes chuckling.

Truthfully I don’t like parker. Everyone says that we would make a cute couple but that’s just it, that’s all we would make. We would never fall in love. We’d just be the cute couple that lasts for a few days then BAM it’s over, tear tear cry cry!
