• Chapter 8: Time’s Up

She started off just inviting people to YFJ with her. Soon Christy got enough courage to tell everyone she came across about Jesus. She was so excited about her new religion, she would preach on the streets. She went into all sorts of jails and would tell them all about God. People at school completely rejected her, except the people who had been with her since the beginning. They were happy for Christy that she had finally made her happy and that she felt secure with her life. Some people would make remarks about pre-marital sex, looking straight at Christy’s soon-to-be child. She would either ignore them, or she would have a comeback for those people, knowing it would be coming. Ever since she had accepted Christ into her life, she was so much happier. She only wished she could share this feeling with Isaac. That was one of the reasons Christy always preached at any opportunity she could get. She wanted everyone to at least get the chance to go to heaven.
She and Janie became extremely close friends. No matter what happened, Janie was there, usually helping Christy preach. Christy became much stronger in her religion of the two, and Janie had known God all her life. People found it amazing that she had gone through such a transformation, especially since she wasn’t quite a “holy” person before. That was one way she spread her faith. She would give people her testimony, telling them all about when she moved, when she found out she was pregnant, when her boyfriend died (and about how much she loved him: he was the first person she had actually loved), and how her parents got divorced. She even would tell people that when they do accept Christ, people might stop accepting them. She found it important that they knew every single aspect of being a Christian, no matter how painful the truth is.
She was thankful that she had been sent to this small city, and that so many awful things had happened because they lead to the most wonderful thing of all. She had spent the rest of her pregnancy doing this. She awaited the day to have her child.
Christy was at home on bed rest while her mother went grocery shopping when her water broke. This was the exact reason her mother didn’t want to ever leave the house, but they really needed food.
“Oh my gosh!” Christy screamed. What do I do? I’m home alone, and it’s not like I can call my boyfriend. Oh no! Should I call someone? Yes, but who? Who lives closest? Christy pulled out her phone, browsing her contacts list, thinking about who lives closest. She called Amanda.
“Amanda, I need you to hurry. My water just broke, and I’m home alone. Can you get me to the hospital?”
“Oh My! I’m on my way! Just hold on!”
Christy awaited her friends’ arrival. As soon as she appeared, Christy rushed to the car and they drove to the hospital.

    Chapter 9: “Upstairs”

Christy looked around, noticing that everything around her was completely white. She looked down, realizing she was on clouds and she was wearing a beautiful white gown. Her hair no longer had any highlights. It was its natural dark-brown. Then she realized the biggest surprise yet.
Christy ran with a full-out sprint into Isaac’s arms, her eyes watering with tears of joy.
“I missed you so much!” Christy said, still in his arms because she didn’t ever want to let go.
“I know, I’ve been watching you. Every step you took, I was beside you,” Isaac replied.
“So was I,” said a big, booming voice that Christy found somehow comforting. She looked over and realized it was God himself. She fell down, face first before him.
“Thank you so much for letting Isaac in.”
“Well, your prayer really convinced me. If you ever want to watch anyone on Earth, just part the clouds. Anything you need can be given to you. All you must do is ask,” said God, slightly changing the subject.
“Do you want to join me to watch our daughter?” Isaac invited.
    “Of course.”
Isaac and Christy moved the cloud they were standing on out of their sight of below. “Does this make us, like, her guardian angels?” Christy questioned.
“Not quite. This makes us her parents. It’s our job to watch her every step and help her grow and achieve.”
“Wow, I never thought I would hear you say achieve correctly in a sentence.”
They continued to watch Olivia and helped guide her every step. They tried their best to get her to the best foster parents where nothing bad could ever happen to her. Of course, no one’s life works like that, and Olivia met some challenges. The one thing the two parents made sure of was that their child was raised as a Christian so that one day, they could meet their daughter face-to-face, no matter how long it took.
