• Red was the color of the sky that evening. They were shadowed by a terrible darkness that was running through everyones mind. The people in the town were too frightened to see them coming.
The clocks sung that twelve had come, and there was a terrifying silence that hung through the air. Streets and sidewalks were now empty. Cars were abandoned as people struggled to find safety.
She woke up to the sound of no sounds. Strangely, silence can be the most disturbing noise. Suddenly, she realized what time it was. Sarah looked out of her window and saw a bloody red sky with a dark full moon.
Sarah closed the window curtains and she shook slightly with fear. This was her first month in the town, and she had no idea what was coming.
There was a noise from the kitchen, the sound of rattling pots and pans. What's down there? she wondered. Poor Sarah, nobody had told her that they were here.
Now it walked up the stairs, its fangs glinting in the nightlight that Sarah had put up, and it neared close to the door.
The entrance to her room flew open, Sarah gasped and figured it was just the hard winds that started up enexpectedly. She clicked on the televiosion with her remote and sat up in her bed to skim through the channels. Her bedroom light shut off, and the T.V. screen turned black.
"Sarah..." a ghostly voice whispered. Sarah looked up and stammered,
    "Who's there?"
"Vampiress..." it snickered, and a dark shadow leaned close to Sarah. It grapped her arm and covered her mouth with it's boney hand. Sarah was lifted off of the ground, soon she was flying over trees, and now she lay choking in an unfamiliar land, dying a slow and painful death as blood dripped down her neck and onto the cold stone floor high up into the clouds overlooking a great sea. The strange figure neared her, tears watered up in her eyes, and the shadow leaned down close to her face, sighing her name and giggling wildly, uncontrolabally, and than dissappeared.
Sarah now lay in her bed, her eyes wide open, and she looked outside to see a clear blue sky with a bright sun.
The clock read 9:00 AM, and Sarah stared at her bedroom door, wondering why she had dreamt that.
