• It was dead quiet in the long, gigantic halls of Valhalla, except for the faint sound of the fountain in the palace gardens and the sound of metal clashing on metal as enemies fought to the death. As a monstrous demon slashed its deadly claws at its unknown opponent, the dark figure dodged its every attack. Just at the moment of a perfect strike, the demon stopped and fell to its knees. The figure saw that glowing, yellow arrows were sticking out of the demons back. Slowly the figure backed away and looked up at another unknown foe.
“You’re late you know that Will?” the dark figure said calmly, letting out a sigh.
“I’m sorry, but I would have been here earlier if I wasn’t attacked by three of these dammed beasts” said Will, who now stepped out of the shadows wearing a pale-yellow cloak, a worn-out brown shirt, and ink-black breeches that were a little big.
“Well where are the others?” the figure said.
Just then a small, beautiful girl with long, scarlet-red hair that went past her shoulders wearing a black witch hat with a red strap around it, a blood-red skirt and low-cut top holding a large staff landed just behind the boy and said, “Will I told you to wait, but I’m glad that Vyse was not harmed.”
“Well you can stop worrying about me Cierra, right now we have to meet up with the others, ok?” Vyse questioned with interest.
“You’re right Vyse, we should start looking” Will said as he looked at his surroundings.
So the small group set out to find the rest of the group, but they didn’t get far when they were attacked by a group of demons. As the demons drew close the group got ready for the attack, but Vyse noticed that something was watching them. But being to busy to do anything about it, he attacked the closest demon to him. Will was shooting at an ape like demon, when he saw Cierra being ganged up on by a pair of evil-looking hobbits.
“Vyse!” yelled Will, “Cierra needs help!”
“What?” Vyse said with a look of dismay on his face.
That’s when a loud crashing sound came from behind the battle, which stopped both the demons and Grim Angels from fighting. A gigantic slab of rock had fallen from a bridge overhead and was protruding from the ground, but it didn’t take long until the two teams were fighting again.
Soon after the fight was well over and the Grim Angels were tending to their wounds, Will and Cierra were yelling at each other.
“Cierra! I told you to be careful when you’re using those kind of spells.” said Will.
“Well how was I supposed to know that part of the bridge would collapse?” she blurted out.
Just as they started to yell near the top of their lungs and started to push each other, a low growling sound was coming from under the rubble of the broken bridge. Vyse then realized what was under the pile and looked at the two who were still bickering.
“Ummm….. guys? I think we should move back a little.” said Vyse.
Will and Cierra did as they were told and as the group backed away from the pile of rocks, the chunks of earth erupted in an explosion of rubble and dust. As the dust settled right where the rubble was, there was a dark, brooding, wolf-like figure. Suddenly the figure started to shrink into a more human form.
“Oh man! Sorry about that Gerik…. I didn’t see you behind that demon when I crushed him.” Cierra said with a lot of sympathy in her voice, but even more on her face.
“Yeah, well you’re lucky you killed him and not me, I only had enough time to grab him and use him as a shield.” Gerik said with a straight face and a calm voice. He was now in deer-skin moccasin clothes with a bow knife at the side of his leg and had a single blue feather in his long, deep black hair.
“So let’s see, who isn’t here?” Vyse asked the group out loud.
Just as he looked around towards Gerik, he saw a shadow behind him and motioned it to him. Gerik whirled around with amazing speed, but realized that the unknown creature was no threat.
“So where were you when all this commotion was happening, Fina?” Gerik asked her, crossing his arms.
“I was a little busy trying to find a way down here. Part of the bridge was missing, so I had to find another way down.” She said as she looked at Cierra with a look of stupidity. She was wearing a light purple dress that cut off at the calves, socks as purple as the late sunset, purple gloves that matched her dress, but she had black bat wings coming out her back.
Just before anyone could say anything, a hologram of a man in a robe appeared in the center of the group. Slowly he bowed to them all and looked at Vyse.
    “Vyse, status report.” He ordered.
“We just regrouped and we are now heading to Agnon, Hector.” He replied.
“Good, but remember, we have only one enemy; those who stand in our way of our operation.” Hector told them in a deep and proud voice.
“Understood, logging out.” Vyse bowed and when he looked back up, Hector was gone.
“Who was that?” Fina asked Vyse.
“That was Hector; he’s the leader of the Magi.” Vyse responded.
“What are the Magi?” Fina asked Vyse.
“The Magi are like the prophets of the gods, but they tell us what to do when we are needed.” Vyse told her with an annoyed tone.
“She is still young and an infant, so she shouldn’t be expected to know as much as us, Vyse.” Gerik explained to him as Vyse tried to strangle Fina.
“Ok, before we go on any further…. Does everyone have their diviner?” Vyse asked the group. Fina slowly held up a deep purple, glowing scythe that was taller than she was which made her wobble at times. Gerik pulled out his bow knife that was slowly starting to glow a royal blue. Will held up his bow that looked normal, but his bear skin quiver was filled with glowing arrows that looked like lightning bolts. Cierra tapped her staff on the floor lightly and the gem on the end of the oak rod glowed a bright red. And Vyse held his broad, green, glowing sword in the middle of the group and saw they all had their weapons.
“Alright, let’s go,” he said, “Next stop…. Agnon!!!” Vyse exclaimed.
