• She was just sitting outside in a tree one day thinking about how one night changed her life forever. Just sitting there touching the only thing that had remained from her 18th birthday long ago.....

    -Past-

It all started with her not being able to fall asleep so she went outside for a stroll, hoping that would help. She was walking outside going through some very tall grass when she tripped over something. She thought it was a body but when she turned back to look at it, it was gone. She had gotten herself a deep gash on her right knee and it was bleeding badly. She just sat there for a bit not wanting to feel the pain yet, knowing that she would if she moved. A man came up to her and just stared. He then bent down in front of her and licked off the blood. She must have passed out from fright or embarrassment because she couldn't remember what happened after that. At the moment she hadn't realized that the man had done anything to her. When she woke up the man was gone. She got up and started heading back home confused. The gash she had gotten earlier had completely disappeared. The excitement didn't end there though. While walking back she had to go through an alley to get home faster. She wasn't scared because she had done this for almost her whole life now. She started walking through it but halfway through the alley she heard some noises ahead of her. She admitted to herself that she had been a little frightened and was relieved to see that it was only a cat. It sat their staring at her strangely. Its eyes seemed to glow but she wasn't sure If she only imagined it. Now she believes anything is possible though. They stayed like that for a while. It looked like it was searching her for something. All of a sudden it jumped right at her and bit her on her right hand palm. She still does wonder how it was able to do that to this very day. The crazy cat must have been posed or something. She didn't even see it move so she had no chance of dodging it. The strange thing was that all It felt like was like getting a shot at the doctors. Then the cat disappeared in to thin air like fog. Of course by this point she was pretty freaked out by the way her night was going. She got home and was feeling weak and she thought it must have been due to lack of sleep. She was so exhausted that as soon as her head hit the pillow she was dead asleep. She woke up to the sound of her mom cooking downstairs. She had never heard her from her room upstairs before. Her mom was being very loud today. She felt so much better then yesterday and everything that had happened the night before just seemed like a strange dream to her now. She got up and headed to the restroom. She put toothpaste on her toothbrush and was about to brush her teeth when she just so happened to look in the mirror in front of her. She just stood there staring at her reflection for a bit.She placed her toothbrush back on the counter and reached up to touch her head. But before she did she noticed something on her palm, where the cat had bit her the night before. They weren’t teeth marks like she would have expected to see but the imprint of a cat’s paw inside of a heart. She then reached to the top of her head again and felt the tips of her ears. Strangely enough they we on top of her head, not off to the side and they were also fluffy. So she wasn't hallucinating. Somehow while she was sleeping her ears had changed in to cat ears. Of course she had also grown a tail to go with the ears. She found this kind of ironic because her name just happened to be Kitty. She could really be true to her name now. Apparently her sense of smell and hearing had been enhanced too. For some reason she didn't freak out even when she noticed this. Most people would be scared but not her. She found this kind of exciting. The kind of thing that was never supposed to happen in real life but here she was with cat ears and a tail, she thought happily. She brushed her teeth and took a shower. She never used to like water but now she hated it with a passion. She got out, went in to her room and got dressed nicely because it was her birthday. Of course she put on a hat to hide her ears hopping that her parents wouldn't notice them. Her tail wasn’t too hard to hide, all she had to do was put on a long dress so that it wouldn’t show. She would have shown them what had happened but she didn’t know how they would react. When she walked in to the kitchen her parents were already sitting down at the table eating. They said good morning to each other and she sat down to eat. Once they finished she helped my mother wash the dishes. Once they finished with that her mother just stared at her and then said, "You would look so much better without the hat for your party!" Then yanked off her hat so suddenly that she had no chance to react. She saw her mother’s eyes go wide and she looked really scared. If that wasn't bad enough her father walked in two seconds later. Her parents both had that same look on their faces. Her father was the first one to be able to speak and when he did he asked me who she was. No not who she was, WHAT she was. She told him she was his daughter Kitty and that she had no clue as to what had happened. This upset him even more and he started screaming at her that she was lying to him. My mother started crying. She probably believed her but she didn’t want to. Her father screamed at her to get out of his house or he would call the police. She had no choice but to listen to him and run. She ran as far as her legs would carry her, not caring where she was going. She just needed to get away. Once she fell from the pain in her aching legs she sat there on the ground crying until she cried herself to sleep. When she woke up there was a present in front of her that had her name on it. She looked around surprised but didn’t see anyone. She slowly sat up and opened it. Inside of it was a collar. When she picked it up the image of the man from the night before flashed through her eyes. Somehow at that exact moment she knew that he had changed her in to a vampire and that when the cat bit her it did something to her that mixed with her vampire DNA and changed her in to a human cat. She was now a vampire neko. How this knowledge came in to her head, she had no idea. She slowly put on the collar that she just got and left to find a new place to live.

    ~Present~

That memory is as vivid in her mind as if it happened yesterday. Yet that was long, long ago. Now she just traveled from place to place, looking for somewhere to belong. Seeing as how here vampire and neko blood mixed she was able to walk in the sunlight. She was very beautiful with her long silver hair and bright golden eyes. She always brought attention to herself from the night people and from humans without even having to try. She learned that she could retract her ears and tail if she wanted. As long as she didn’t get to high in an emotion they would stay hidden. If not they would pop out at unwanted times. This she found out the hard way. She then jumped out of the tree she was sitting in. She felt HIS eyes on her yet she never could see him. The vampire who changed her life had been keeping an eye on her to this very day and she felt that when he is ready he will reveal himself to her. Most of the time she couldn’t sense him nearby which meant he wasn’t around. Right now she knew he was there and just continued walking. She was heading for the nearby town.
