My Book
I've been writing in this since I was thirteen in 2007. I still am writing in it, and it will probably be my legacy till the day I die. (Don't start reading from the beginning as my writing was atrocious then.)
Making of "Postscript (2019)"
Author's Notes: I made a film recently you can check it out here:

------I just wanna write down my thoughts now that this project is over. The script is written by me. I've been thinking of posting it here. Originally it was meant to have dialogue, but my partner Kristen said it would be better if it was spoken in first person narration. We went out together and took some pictures and came into the studios to record the voice over. Its pretty funny how we got the audio recording done actually. At first, I had the mic stand setup in a traditional fashion. She was standing up while I was on Protools recording, and I would be her producer asking her to change her pitch or inflections. It was working but it was taking a long time. I glossed over the script and I thought that It's basically a monologue of a woman telling a story in her journal or to an old friend/lover. So we did therapy time.

------I arranged the seats in the studios so she could be relaxed and lying down. I joked around about if she wanted a foot massage. I setup an overhead mic on top of her, an SM-81. Ideally I wanted more of a shotgun, but that was all I had access to at the time. We turned off the lights. I told her to pretend that I'm her therapist and that she should read the script as relaxed as possible. I didn't care if she sniffled, if she stuttered, or if she coughed. I told her that all of those is just a part of the human experience and, thats what we were trying to capture that day. It worked out great, and I was gutted several times during recording but also several times when composing music and mixing.

------I stayed overnight at the studios, composing music and just editing it in general. Bless, Izotope RX for making my work time dummy short. The music is composed using Logic Pro X. Most of the music were themes I already had in mind. I wrote a piece of music called Lalinea which was in 13/8 but I never actually released it anywhere. I took the melodic motifs of that piece and placed it here and it works wonders. At one point in the middle of the night Logic crashed and I thought I lost all my work. Thank god for autosave though, but as soon as I pressed play got spooked out cause I thought Kristen was in the room. I legit jumped off my seat and I remembered that I was underscoring Kristen voice. It was around four in the morning and I was dummy tired by then. I'd been in the studios for at least 24 hours, that's the rhythm of my life I guess.

------I'm waiting for closed captioning to process on my youtube video right now. We met once more in the studios to do some final adjustments. One of the things that I found crazy that on paper, the script didn't look that it didn't need much images. I was wrong though words expands when it is spoken, something about the air making them floaty. Kristen said that in your brain you can chunk down paragraphs and that reading speed isn't the same as talking speed. We ended up filling it with random images that felt semi appropriate based of the sentence, like the plate of taco's we took when we had lunch together.

------Anyways thanks for reading- err watching too! go subscribe to my youtube. I had fun making this and I might make more in the future.
