I'm sick of black history month, every year it's the same damn thing; "martin luther king, rosa parks, more martin luther king, did you know he led protests? did you know he was assassinated, did you know the sky is blue!?" Over and over I hear these little speeches rather than hearing about George Washington Carver or gettysburg's John Brown, (he was white, yes, but if they taught him, you would better understand why he's there) Or even Abraham Lincoln. (who signed the emancipation proclamation and ended slavery?)

For some reason, when I say I'm sick of the month, some idiots think I'm just a racist, does no one on earth have powers of observation these days? (I'l rant on jumping to conclusions later) It COULD be more interesting, but al anyone talks about is what they remember last year, MLK. You people bore me and if they're all you want to talk about, I suggest we change it to some other history month. Spanish? irish? it could be miget history month if there was any, it's the shortest month of the year.

BOTTOM LINE: unless someone has something we haven't heard eight and a half million times about black history, we may as well do away with it.
