Chapter 4, Secrets revieled!


Jacob wondered into the school hallways, heading twords the school courtyard, the usual meeting place where He, Kelly, Becky and Aisha usually met. He groaned slightly as he thought back on the day. It hadn't been that bad, he had gotten lucky at some points. Suiji was good in 4th period Drama 2, but in 5th period Science, she decided to act up. He had just made it out of the room with a pass, before she burst out of his bag. He thought back to the conversation.

"Suiji, You can't do that! I'll get in trouble!" Jacob had told her, exasperated.

"Suiji....sorry. Suiji no do it again." she had apoligized.

"You can talk better!" Jacob exclaimed, suprised.

"Suiji listen. And learn. Jacob not angry anymore?" she asked, scared.

"No, Jacob not angry. I mean I'm not angry. Still. You need to be more careful, all right?" He asked, with vigorous nods from Suiji.

She was good the rest of the day, and Jacob was able to get all his work done without any worry, leaving him a free weekend. Well, technically. He had decided he would tell his friends. He trusted they would still like him.

"Jacob. Over here!" Aisha called. All three of them we're setting on a stone ledge, chatting, Kelly, with her AMP in hand, Becky with a soda, and Aisha with some kind of tea, green probably.

"Hey guys. Gals." he said, changing his last word. He headed twords them.

"So what did you want to tell us?" Kelly asked when he got to them, with a sip of her AMP.

"Well... I'm not sure how to tell you..." He began.

"You getting married!" Aisha inturupted excitedly.

"No. I.." He tried again.

"Your moving" Kelly inturpted sadly, hanging her head.

"NO. I'm a..." He tried once more.

"Your a transvetite!" Becky intrupted loudly.

"NO! WILL YOU SHUT UP AND LISTEN?" He shouted. They sat back down and closed there mouths. "Thank you. Now I'm a...." He was inturupted again. Not by the girls, but by a violent movement in his backpack.

"Whats that?" Becky asked, pointing at his backpack.

"No..nothing. Its a"

"Suiji!" She exclaimed, as she jumped out of Jacobs backpack.

"Suiji! No!" Jacob asked as she bounded over by the girls.

Suiji walked over to Kelly, who picked her up. Suiji began bouncing up and down in Kelly's arms, apparently please she had picked her up.

"Aww. What an adorable little spirit." Kelly cooed, as she held Suiji in her arms.

"Suiji, you....what did you say?" He asked sharply, looking at Kelly.

"She's a spirit. Right?" Kelly asked. Aisha began poking Suiji in her belly, making her giggle uncontrolably. Becky just watched, but intently.

"How do you....how do you know that?" Jacob asked her, shocked.

Kelly turned to Aisha and Becky, who both nodded. Kelly turned back to Jacob, and took a deep breath.

"Jacob. I know because like Becky and Aisha, I have a spirit too. Guys. Come on out." She said to no one in particular. Or so it seemed.

From the bushes behind them, a blue fox with what looked like an earing appeared from behind it, and wandred over to the group. It sat loyall infront of Kelly, and eyed Jacob with dislike.

From behind the trees a little bit away, a red fox came bounding over to the group, and sat in front of Becky. It cocked its head, and looked at Jacob with intrest, not unlikingly.

From overhead, there came a birds cry. Jacob looked up, and flying overhead, in a circle, was a large, grey bird. It landed in front of Aisha, and simply eyed Jacob, with neiter like nor dislike.

"Diataro." Kelly said, looking at the blue fox.

"Fia." Becky said, looking at the red fox.

"Naria." Aisha said, looking at the bird.

"She doesn't look so special. She hasn't even gotten her animal form yet." Diataro said, looking at the bouncing Suiji. Apparently, he could speak fluently.

"Hey. Shes just a day old. Leave her alone." Jacob said, rushing forward to get Suiji from Kelly. He never could stand picking on the weak. Suddenly, Diataro's body rippled.

He stood on his hind legs, and began to transform. He got taller, and his fur disappeared. He was becoming human. His hair kept the same color as his fur, and he still had the earing in his ear. His cloths were simple, and he stood with his arms crossed, blocking Jacob's way to Kelly. He looked about 17 in this form.

"Hold it. To get to Kelly, you go through me." He said intimidatingly, with his arms still crossed.

"Move." Jacob told him.

"No." Daitaro said forcefully.

"Daitaro, what is wrong with you?" Kelly asked him suprised. He ignored her.

"I said move!" Jacob shouted the last word forcefully, pushing Diataro. Diataro went flying backwords. Through his new powers, Jacob had obtained amazing strength. Hardly fazed, Jacob walked quickly to Kelly, and held out his arms for Suiji, who jumped into his arms. The three girls and the spirits looked at Daitaro, who was getting up, and brushed the dust off his cloths. He looked at Jacob coldly, and nodded.

"Jacob mad?" Suiji asked, looking up at him.

"No, I was just a little worried, thats all hun" he told her, looking at her affectionetly.

"Suiji good! Suiji transform too!" And her teardrop shaped body rippled, and she grew yellowish fur all over her body. Her body became catlike, and she rested in Jacob's arms. On her back, she had a symbol, a circle with a triangle going through it.

Where have I seen that before? Jacob wondered. Quickly, with one hand, he pulled out the flute out of the box strapped to his hid, and looked at it. On the end, was the same symbol. He put the flute away.

"So, you guys are Guardians too?" He asked, recieving nods from all three girls. "Huh. I think we should go see my Grandpa." He said, picking up his backpack and cradeling Suiji in his arms, and began walking. All three girls grabbed their backpack and their spirits (Diataro turned back), and followed him.
