• We all knew this day would come, the day where everything would seem to stand still.
We would watch as the sun's last rays gave way to darkness.
Our vision would appear in slow motion as the havoc and terror from everyone else caught our eyes.
You have yet to move; it doesn't seem real, it hasnt hit you yet that all we once knew would end.
Seconds would seem like minutes, and minutes would seem like days.
A horror movie that you are starring in; difference is that this is real.
There is no director there to yell "Cut" or "that's a wrap", there is nothing to stop the horror in front of you.
This movie will play on until your role has been finished.
The Earth will shake and the waters will flow high above the ground, dropping like bombs onto the ground that we stand on.
It's either run or be killed.

We will watch our friends and family fall behind and perish from the brutality of the attack, we will want to run back and help them but know it's too late, and we will run as fast as we can; all-knowing that we will have the same fate as they did.
Screams will deafen our ears, tears will blind our eyes, and fear will consume our bodies.
We will run into a direction hoping it will be the right one to live for just a little bit longer, trying to stop the inevitable.
We wont be thinking of anything but the drive to stay alive.
We will try not to look back but to keep our heads forward.
We will not stop running, knowing that the danger behind us will kill us if we do.
We will take in each breath, knowing that one of them will be our last.
The end of the world will happen.

They say "Live like it was your last day on Earth", but how can you live or experience life when you don't even know its true value til the absolute end?
On that day, the only thing you'll be living through is hell.
To those of us who witness it, hell will be our last day on Earth.
No one wants to live to see this day, but many of us will.
We will see the fires, the damage, dead bodies and more; wishing we had died sooner so we didn't have to see.

We would wish that our last sight would be of a loved one running away, having hope that they might make it instead of knowing that it was truly the end.
Most of us will turn to God, fall on our knees and pray.
Many will drop to their knees, praying to someone they didn't ever think was real but for the slight chance that it could be, pray for forgiveness and a spot up above.
Some will stand there, knowing there is nothing they could possibly do to survive, losing all hope.

As our final moments on Earth take place, we will hold a stranger, the comfort of not dying alone would ease us a bit but the thought of still dying would overcome it.
The last thought in your head would be: Should I open my eyes and watch or should I keep them closed and let the darkness consume me?
