Darkness

  It fills my eyes,
  Clutching me with it's claws,
  Holding me in it's cold embrace,
  Suffocating me.
  
  I'm paralyzed,
  My mind goes numb,
  My heart races,
  Chilling sweat runs down my face,
  I feel fear,
  Only fear.
  
  It drives me mad,
  The darkness,
  It weighs me down,
  Making breathing difficult,
  It shatters my soul,
  The darkness.
  
  I begged for light,
  It never came,
  I begged for help,
  No one saved me,
  I'm alone,
  In the darkness,
  For eternity.
