• .-Everlasting Love-

I wake up to these shining lights,
    Piercing my eyes,
As I take in all the white,
There’s so much white on all of my sides,
And it seems it’ll go on for all of time.

I stand up and try to walk,
    But I stumble and fall,
And I soon find out that my legs don’t work at all,
    I call for help,
    I try to talk,
    But no sound comes out,
And it seems I’m lost to all…

    I’m confused and scared,
Not knowing how I got here,
    I can’t remember anything,
    What’s happened to me?

Suddenly I see flashes in my mind,
Like a video recording of someone’s life,
    The longer I watch,
    I begin to realize,
    That these memories are mine.

I watch as I grow up,
    Speeding through my past,
    Rummaging through the history,
Of my life that ended too fast.

Then I see this beautiful girl,
We meet at this park called Summer Hill,
And then our lives together begin,
As we see one another over and over again.

As our love for each other unfurled,
My memories took an unexpected turn,
I learn we had become diseased,
And that you would eventually leave me,
So we left our burning city,
To spend our last day under out tree,
The special place for you and me.

    We slowly begin to die,
As we stare at this beautiful sky,
I tell you I’ll love you till the end of time,
    Even after we both die.

    And yet here I am,
    Alone in this empty space,
I realize I can walk and talk now,
    so I begin to pace,
    Wondering where you are,
    And missing your beautiful face.

    Suddenly there’s a flash,
And before me stands the girl from my past,
Her legs weaken and she begins to slip,
But I catch her and when I do,
I press my fingers to her lips.

She is frightened as I was,
And she can’t say anything either,
    But then her expression changes,
As all of her memories begin to rush back to her.

Seeing her beautiful eyes all glossed over with tears,
As her mind races through all the years,
Made me as happy as I could be,
Knowing that she was thinking of me.

She then glances up at me,
And we both begin to cry,
Knowing that we are together for the rest of time.

We hold each other in our arms,
And tears of joy stream down our faces,
Next moment we open our eyes,
Our hearts skip a few paces,
There’s no longer any white space,
We are back at our special place,
In which we lived out our last day.

    The sun is shining,
    The birds are singing,
    Holding you in my embrace,
    There’s no greater feeling.

We stare into each other’s eyes,
Knowing we’ve got till the end of time,
I grab your hand and lead you to the fields filled with sunlight.
Once again the sun shines off your hair,
And I know that I am really there…
