• My Resting Place
A drop from the sky falls into my face
Several more fall picking up haste
I lie in the grass on top of a hill
I feel no rain I feel no chill
I'm all alone, the world around is silent
No want to move nor thoughts to be violent
This is my special place, a home for my mind
A place that no one else could ever find
There is nothing but this grassy gnoll
No nerves to feel heat nor cold
Just my mind in this empty space
And a sky enshrouded with grace
No matter which way I view
There is nothing but grass and dew
All I hear is my own thoughts
And simple music from a music box
I am calm and I am at peace
I will leave soon but I know at least
I have this place, so serene
This perfect spot of the purest green
This is the place I go in my sleep
But now while I'm in a sleep so deep
I know I will never wake again
I'm waiting here for my end
But this end is just a passing
For my soul is forever lasting
This is the place my body will die
My spirit won't fade and neither will I
I'll move on to whatever is next
Rebirth, revival or something more complex
Do not cry for my fallen form
I'm happy now I've escaped the swarm
I no longer have to fight for acceptance
Because I am dead and I accept this.
