Child Abuse

• Description: This is a little poem about my childhood. This is another issue that seems to be ignored by people. It seems that families that really do abuse their children never get caught, but the ones that don't are suspected. Sort of like when my abusive dad moved away and I started living with my non-abusive mom they thought she was abusing me. Oh well, what can you do?

They say they won’t
They say it’s okay
Their words are just cheap lies
They just want me to stay

They torture and antagonize
They want to put me in permanent sleep
I guess their conscience isn’t working
When they’re done they’ll just have the secrets that they keep

The lies they say
And the crime they do
Child abuse is no laughing matter
Now run before it happens to you too

That's so sad... As in, that it's really upsetting and not that it sucks, because it certainly does NOT suck. It's just really... upsetting... I feel like I can actually sympathise with you after reading this.

Yeah, sometimes mental abuse can be worse...and it sorta sounds like she was the useless b***h. >.> Atleast you don't have to put up with it anymore (i hope o.o). ^^

It happened to me too, but it wasn't so much physical abuse but more emotional. My mom was always calling me a useless b***h and I was to stay home all the time to clean and look after the kids (4 of my 5 siblings lived with us). It got to the point where my one baby brother thought I was his mom. I was never allowed to go anywhere and she would often throw things at me. Like strollers, tomato juice cans. and kitchen chairs.
Finally she kicked me out.
