• 'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the city
Not a person was stirring, such was a pity
The lights were all hung, thrown carelessly around,
In hopes nobody would notice, not the whole town.
The children were forced to go to bed,
Except for this one boy; His name was Ned
He screamed and he wailed, while the parents just whistled.
Soon he was out the door, as quick as a thistle.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
The neighbors scrambled out to see what was the matter.
Away to there windows, turning on the lights.
"Oh why must they make noise, on this of all nights!
The moon shook a bit, and then it made a bright glow,
Gave the look of a fairy tale to objects below.
When, what to Ned's wondering eyes should be seen,
But a big ole' sleigh, enough to fit the queen
With a big fat belly followed by a head,
Ned knew In a moment, and he was filled with dread
More agile than mice the creatures they came,
And Ned knew every single one, By name!!
There's Dasher, and Dancer, Look Prancer and Vixen!
Wow, Comet! Cool, Cupid! Donner and Blitzen!
Then he scooped up Ned, and yelled his call,
"Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"
As a cat bounces up on his prey,
Silent and steady and coursed they lay
Up on the house-top, they clanged and they clattered
Santa's big, red bag was in tatters!
And then, in a twinkling, He heard on the roof,
The banging and binging of each little hoof.
Santa said to the young one, "Watch this bud"
Down the chimney the fat guy came with a thud.
He was dressed in the usual, from his head to his toe
and he looked like a hobo, the torn up bow!
A bunch of cool toys he flung out of his sack
And he looked like a burgaler, just opening his pack.
    His eyes-how they twinkled
    His dimples, how deep!
His cheeks were like balloons, his hair in a heep! His giant large mouth was smiling down below,
And his beard, he could at least keep it mellow
His teeth were stained with chocolate cookies,
and the breathe would make you wanna play hookie
He had a grim face and a jiggly belly,
That shook when he cackled like a bowlful of jelly
His eyes had sacks, he held tight a christmas letter,
and Ned laughed when he saw him; he didn't know any better.
A wince of his eyes and a crack from his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
and stuffed all the stockings; then turned like a jerk,
and digging his finger inside of his nose,
and giving a nod, out the door he dozed.
He slunk to his sleigh, his team gave some groans,
and away they all flew, knocking down all the cones.
But I heard him gasp, when he drove out of sight,
"I gotta say this, so lets get it over with. Happy Merry Christmas y'all!"
