• Panting, I caught my breath, collapsing on a log. I couldn't run any longer. But, I had to if it meant the lives of my people.
I built up speed again, not looking back. The Destroyer couldn't know I was scared, not now, not ever.
A giant pop sounded in front of me. Before I knew it, The destroyer was in front of me smirking.
He had geld, long black hair that stopped below his ears and eyes as black as night. His black and red clothing made his extremely pale skin seem even paler and made him look even scarier.
"Maria." He exclaimed, clasping his gloved hands together. "Just who I wanted to see."
I took a deep breath and stood up straighter.
"Well, you've seen me. You can go now."
    He did a fake pout.
"How sweet. You think your getting away." His eyes narrowed and his lips formed a grim line.
    "Hand over the letter."
I shook my head. "No thanks, if you haven't noticed.... I don't really want to give this to you."
I held up the letter that contained my kingdoms secrets. It had been up to me to keep it safe and the next thing I knew I was being chased by The Destroyer.
    He lunged and I sprinted.
Running was never my strong point, but if I had to, I could run pretty fast.
I had nearly reached my limit when a blinding light flashed before me.
The Destroyer must have noticed it to because he cried out in pain.
The light dimmed, and shadows formed a person. A boy by the looks of it.
He pulled out a wand, muttered something and then pointed it straight at the Destroyer.
The Destroyer cried out once more and vanished.
I was about to run up to the boy before he put away his wand and disappeared.
I slumped down on a fallen tree, deep in thought.
    Who was that guy?
