• Chapter 2

When Lissette woke up, she was in a room and laying on a mat. The tall man sat nearby, staring at her. She jumped up and got into a strike position.
"That won't be necessary." He said.
She didn't say anything and stayed in her position.
"You know, you've been causing a lot of trouble in those woods. Care to explain why?"
All that got him, was the swords coming out again.
"Now how do you do that? I've never seen a half ayakashi do that."
She rolled her eyes and put her swords away.
"That's better, now if I had attacked you, then you would have had every right to do that. But you've been attacking people for no apparent reason. Why?"
That got him a glare that said 'I'm not telling you anything, so don't waste your breathe'.
"I thought that would be your answer. Can you talk?"
    Lissette nodded.
"But you're not going to, am I right?"
    Lissette nodded again.
"Are you at least going to stick around until you can handle your powers better?"
This time Lissette gave him her 'fat chance' look.
"Well can you at least think about it for a while?"
Lissette hesitated for a second, then nodded slowly.
"Good here, if you decide to stay, just put this on and I'll have Atora come get you. Okay?"
    Lissette nodded again.
The tall man left some kind of weird gloves on the floor as close to Lissette as he could manage without upsetting her, and left the room.
Lissette wandered around the room, thinking about her decision. If I go back there, they might come after me again. And this time, they might not be so nice. Another thing, people might be expecting her to come back, so they'd be prepared. Plus if she did leave, she wouldn't really know where to go. She had lived in that forest for most of her life. So far staying was her best option...
Lissette looked at the gloves. She walked over to them, and picked them up. They were black, fingerless gloves with the same symbol the tall guy had been wearing. The Shishio kid was wearing it to. She tried them on. They fit perfectly. Lissette had made up her mind. She would stay. But only because she didn't really have anywhere else to go...

Atora headed towards the room where the chief had said the kid was at. She didn't know why he'd had her take Gen with her though. Maybe he thought it would get the possible newbie to calm down? She had no idea.
"Gen, you stay behind me, okay? Just in case."
Gen nodded. They reached the room, and opened the door. The girl flew into a fighting position.
"Whoa kid, calm down. The chief sent me."
The words had no more than come out of her mouth, than the girl put away the swords, and seemed to calm down a bit. The girl was wearing emerald green robes, covered in sort of square shaped swirls all over them, and to tell the truth, she didn't look nearly as deadly as she apparently was. Talk about looks being deceiving.
"Alright, come on. We better start your training. Gen, you can come out now."
Gen came out from behind Atora and stood a little bit closer to the girl.
"Come on you two. Oh, by the way, What's your name kid?"
    "It's Lissette" she replied.
"Cute name, Lissette this is Gen, you'll be training with him. Come on you two, let's get started."
