• Eva walked to her locker. She yawned again. Her mother had come home around 1o’c**k in the morning. She had been drunk out of her mind. Eva had been so worried about her that she stayed up to make sue her mother was ok. Then it was time for school and her mother seemed ok so she had gotten ready for school.

She shook her head to try and wake up. She opened her locked and a wave of folded paper came rushing at her. She picked up one of the pieces of paper and unfolded it. It read ‘U ruined R chances!!!!!!! U R dead!!!!’ She balled it up and read about half of them. They where all by different people but they said the same thing. She balled up all the notes and threw them in the trash can near her locker. She went back to her locker and got her books. She walked to her first class of the day.

The bell for class to start sounded. The hall way was empty but for a flamed haired little girl. She was standing by the trash can looking into it. The tears where rolling down her face as she held another piece of mirror to her chest.

Eva’s school day only got worse from there. In class she was hit by spit balls and paper wades. When the class had to work in groups she was always left out. The teacher and other school staff where no better. They all seem to have a problem with her. I hurt her that the whole school hated her but she didn’t let any of this show.

At lunch as she was walking over to her table someone tripped her and her food went flying and landed on the floor and all over her. Rafi and Marie came running over as the entire lunch room broke out into laughter. Marie took Eva to the bathroom to help her clean up as Rafi went to get Eva a new lunch.

Eva was close to tears she didn’t know how much more of this she could take. It was getting to be too much she thought. She was sitting in one of the stalls while Marie worked to clean her shirt. She saw something flash on the floor. She picked it up it was a broken piece of mirror from a compact. She cut her finger on it as she was picked it up. She watched the blood bead on her finger tip. Then the blood ran down her arm she watched it. Suddenly the strangest thought popped into her head. If she cut ran the glass along her wrist she could be set free from this pain filled life. The hand that held the glass started to move toward her wrist. But then she heard Marie walking toward the stall she was in and the she didn’t want to die then and she dropped the glass back to the floor.

“I got most of the food stain off and I dried it so you can ware it,” Marie said as she handed the shirt back to Eva who put it on hurriedly. “You know you should watch where you’re going,” Marie said with a forced laugh.

She was trying to lift the mood that Eva was in. “Yeah your right,” Eva said with a forced smile. They left the bathroom and went to eat their food.

After school Rafi drove the three of them to his house and they decide to stay there over night. It was always ok for them to stay the night a Rafi’s because he wasn’t into girls so neither his nor their parents minded it. Eva and Marie called there families. Marie got through to her dad how gave his permission. But Eva couldn’t get a hold of her mom. She wasn’t answering her cell or the house phones. “Hey Rafi could you drive me to my house I need to pick up some new clothes, ok?” She asked Rafi.

“Sure,” He picked up his keys. ”Marie do you want me to drive you over to pick up some stuff for tonight?” Rafi asked Marie as he was walking towards the door.

“No, my dad is going to bring me my clothes.” She said as she opened a bag of potato chips.

“Ok we will be right back,” Rafi said as he and Eva left the room.

When they got to Eva’s house Rafi stayed out in the car. Eva entered the house all the lights where on and every thing was torn apart like someone was looking for something or maybe someone. She looked around the house and that when she found a note on the dinning room table. Eva picked it up she scanned the note and sighed. Her mom had left with a few friends and she wouldn’t be back for a few days. “Oh well at lest I can stay at Rafi’s tonight.” She packed her self an over night bag and ran bock out to Rafi’s car.
