• My heart began to pound, and my nerves felt like they were being shot with a red hot bullet. I had no idea what was happening. All I saw was darkness. As I kept moving forward I felt nothing, but the hardness of the stony ground beneath my feet. I’ve been walking on and off for two weeks, after escaping the place the had being doing experiments, on all sorts of people. In my case I was blind, and they thought it’d be fun to poke and prod me.

After a year of the experimenting everything on my body was always sore, but I’ve learned to live with it. I escaped, climbing through a tunnel that I had fallen into, while trying one of my escapes once. It was painful falling into the reeking , wet place, but it gave me an escape. After a couple of days I found out that it actually leads out to a dessert like place. The day I planned my escape, I had packed little food, and a lot of water knowing about the harsh conditions of a dessert. But still I have no clue where I was going, as long as I could get out of that place.

How this had all started I have no idea. I began just like any normal girl being able to see everything, from the beautiful blue sky, and the darkness that frightened me at that age also. But one day my family had an accident where a fire had started, all my family was killed because of that and I lost my sight from having my face burnt. Now an orphan with nobody to take care of me, I lived in a tiny little metal box right outside one of the restraints that my parents used to take me to. I’d wait for them to stick the trash out, and for them to leave, then I’d blindly stumble over to that area it was thrown.

I wouldn’t find much but it’d be enough to sustain me for the next day of having to starve at that moment. Throughout those hard times , it was even harder during the winter days, when I became so numb. During that time the men came. They saw me sitting there with nothing else, but the metal box, and the restaurant. They grabbed me, and took me into the warm car.
Finally I thought I’d been saved but when they had finally close the door and knocked me out, not even knowing I was blind they took me to my worst nightmare.

Once I woke I was on what I could tell was some sort of cot lying on the ground, and by what I could tell many other people were around, but the silent painful snores, and groans all around me. Where was I? This place wasn’t even a place I’d call home. I heard heavy locked doors open suddenly, and then footsteps getting closer, and closer. It was the men again. What were they going to do?

As they pulled my body along with them, I felt my feet leave from carpet and onto a harder surface of tiles. It smelt almost liek a hospital but it had that smell like it had something hidden behind the antiseptic. It was like pain, and fear. They had pushed open more doors then. I heard the sound of some sort of heart monitor, and they stuck me on some sort of odd stretcher from what I felt. They began putting straps on me, like I'd resist to something they were going to do.

After the straps were put on I felt some sort of needle to into one of my arms, I started to panic then. I was thrashing, pulling at my strapped body. I was too weak though. My attempts at getting them to stop was useless against the men who were stronger. They held me down as they administered whatever it was.

I became even sleepier as I felt it work it's magic. I had fallen asleep not before I had heard the exchange only a couple of simple words pair together.

"Ready to operate Doc?" One asked.

"You got it Assistant," Now I was completely terrified by this. They were going to operate on me someone who's probably as defenseless as the others in the room I was in earlier. I had to escape. My eyes then suddenly drooped all the way down till my eye lids met each other. What would I feel like the next day?

I was woozy when I awoke form the induced slumber. Nothing was worse when I discovered the pain I felt go through my body then. There was this splitting headache going through my head. I reached up to grab it, since the pain grew increasingly. What I felt next scarred me to death. There were puckered spots ontop of my head, from the left to right ear. As I felt them it seemed they had been stitched together, and just left there to sit and heal.

Had they done brain surgery on me? I felt my eyes tearing up, as the thought of somebody doing this to people, made me feel sick. As I felt I was about to vomet somebody said something.

"Are you alright?" It sounded like a young boy almost but it had that feminine tone to it.

"I don't know," I said back to them. "Where are we?" I heard them give off a sort of regretful chuckle.

"I don't know where we are either," I looked up then even though I couldn't see. "You see everybody here, except those sadists. They brought us here, as experiments on those who have no other hope but to live with others because of their conditions. Such as you. You're blind right?" She asked not seeming bothered that she was asking me questions in such a terrible place.

I nodded anyways. "Yes I lost my sight from being burnt in a fire, It took away my sight and my family, and I became homeless," I explained. I became curious then. "Uhm, you wouldn't mind if I asked your name would you?"

I heard her turn her head then. "Oh yeah my names Toola. What's your's?"

I smiled painfully at her, wince my head was still splitting. "It's Aiza," I answered her back.
