• My head was pounding, my heart beats seemed loud and clear over the distant sounds of yelling. I felt myself leave the ground but I couldn't tell which way. Was I floating? Was I drifting away? I knew something had happened... But what? I blacked out.

I felt numb. I heard beeping. My head had stopped hurting but I couldn't remember much. I cracked open my eyes and let them drift around the room. I saw my mother, father and Harriet my older sister.
"Harry..." I croaked. Harriet jumped and mum looked up her eyes wide. Harriet moved towards me.
"El!" she whispered excitedly, her eyes flashing. Me and my sister are really close. She calls me El and I call her Harry or Har.
"Eat your soup" mum said shoving a hot blowl towards me on a tray over my legs I hadn't noticed. I twitched my right arm but couldn't move it more than that. Tears sprang to my mum's eyes. I lazily, almost uninterested, to follow her gaze my eyes still only cracked open. I didn't see an arm. I saw a big cast splattered with my own blood. I turned back to face everyone. Dad had turned away. I looked at Harry.
    "What...?" I blacked out.

I heard screaming. I looked around my eyes wide open now. I felt happy almost. I wasn't looking at the room from the bed anymore. I wasn't sure what way I was looking at the room. It felt like a dream where I only remembered things, never in the present. I saw mum and Harry over top of a figure in a bed and dad staring blankly at the bed an expression of slight shock on his face. My hearing drifted in and out of focus. I heard a long continuous beep and then a tall woman dressed in white rushed in with a man in a long coat and a stethoscope around his neck following close behind- a doctor and a nurse. Then the man started waving his hands moving mum and Harry back. He bent over the figure then straightened up and turned to mum, dad and Harry. He said something but it was muffled
".... I'm sorry..... nothing... too late" I wondered what was happening but my mind was blank. Suddlenly Harry seemed to snap. She screamed her arms flying towards the figure pulling, grabing, pushing, shaking.
"No!" she was screeching now, loud and clear, ringing through the room and corridor beyond.
"no, no, no! She can't! Can't!" She pulled the figure upright, hysterical, eyes wide, tears steaming down he face. The doctor, nurse and mum were pulling her back trying to calm her. With a whimper she released the figure letting it drop where she just stared, her dead straight dark brown hair falling into her eyes, unoticed. I looked over to the figure and with a sharp intake of breath I realised what was happening. The figure. It was me.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and jumped. I turned and saw a tall teenager about one or two years older than me behind me. He had dark midnight black hair wich fell in bangs across his eyes carlessly. My surroundings where fading rapidly into a white empty room.
    "Wait!" I cried
"Wait please! Can't I say goodbye?" I turned to the boy despreate.
"Am I ever going to see them again?" the teenager didn't say anything
    "What's happening?"
"Why am I here?" I was wailing. I turned completely around getting fustrated with this queit handsome mysterious boy.
"Why won't you answer me?" hot tears were streaming down my face.
"I am sorry, but you belong with us now." he murmured. No expression showed on his face. I sniffed.
    "What?"
    "Welcome to Aylinia"
