• I am so lucky, all the girls say, that all the boys want me. But I don't feel lucky. I don't like any of the boys here or anywhere in this god forsaken hole. I'm pretty, I guess, at least that's what everyone says. The boys follow me around while the girls stare at me in jealousy. That's why I don't have any friends either.

No matter how hard I try to be ugly or try to make friends nothing works. I just walk around in the mountains, alone while everyone else hangs out. It's actually quite fun. I just roam the woods and looked at the things that live there.

One day, after school was over, I walked up the mountain path to get to the lake. I heard rustling behind me but I thought nothing of it because all kinds of animals live here. I continued to hear rustling from behind me. By this time I was getting nervous. I kept looking behind me, but everytime nothing was there.

When I got to the lake I sat at the edge, the shallow water washing over my feet when the wind blew. I heard leaves craacking behind me. I turned around too late because by that time the guy was right beind me. He hit me over the head before I could say anything. He snatched my bag up and pushed me into the water.

~This is it. I'm going to die in my own special place.~ I thought. The darkness was around me. Engulfing me. Choking me. I could feel myself dying. Then the darkness snatched me away.

I awoke to a gently breeze blowing through the tree. I opened my eyes and found myself laying on a couch in a clearing deep in the woods. The only allumination from the moon and the tiny floating creatures around me. ~Tiny floating creatures?!? Fairies! I see fairies!~ I thought excitedly.

I stood up and looked around me. I saw houses in the trees and fairies everywhere. One actually flew up to my face. It was a teenage fairy. I held out my hand and it landed.

"Hi! What's your name?" It asked curiously.

    "I-i'm Brianna." I stuttered.

"Oh Hi! I'm Kina." It said. "Follow me."

The fairy held onto my finger with both of it's hands and led me towards a bright light. Ahead of me was a castle, made in the trunk of a giant tree. The fairy led me up its steps and through the doors at the top.

She led me down halls and through doors until we got to a room that looked like a giant toy store. A boy, about my age, was sitting on the floor next to a big lego building. I walked over and sat down in front of him.

"Hi! I'm Brianna." I told him.

"I'm Near." The boy said, handing me a box of legos. We sat there building legos for a long time.

Eventually a fairy came in and brought us to dinner. We had Pizza and french fries with soda. After dinner Near and I watched Bakugan on a big TV. We laughed and joked all night. At midnight a fairy put a Zombie Apocolypse movie in the DVD player.

We sat on the couch eating popcorn. When the first scary part came on we both screamed. We looked at each other and burst out laughing.

We stared into each others eyes. Slowly we leaned towards each other. Finally our lips met. Near wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me onto his lap. I tangled my hands in his hair and pulled him even closer. His lips moving under mine, his tongue sliding across mine. It was heaven. All of a sudden a scream sounded. We both fell off the couch. And, after realizing it was just the movie, we burst out laughing again.

Near picked me up and sat back down on the couch. I sat on his lap with my head resting on his shoulder, his arms around me. That's how we fell asleep that night. We lived together, with the fairies as our servants, happy and peaceful forevermore.
