• “Oh, come on Anne, I don’t want to go to the mall! Would it be so hard to just hang out someone’s house instead?”
“What’s so wrong about going to the mall, huh Cameron? It’s not like going to the mall with your friends every now and then will kill you. Do you not want to spend time with us?” Anne responded.
“It’s not that I don’t want to hang out with you guys; I just don’t like the mall! I just don’t feel comfortable around that many people, alright!”
“Well, now is a good time to get Mother’s Day presents and it’s as good a place as any to spend a Sunday afternoon. We’ll get gifts and then we can have fun shopping!”
“Why bother? Is it really so awful to, I don’t know, make something for Mother’s Day? Why do we have to go shopping? It’s such a drag!”
"Well that's just too bad! You're going and that's that!"
*sigh* "There's just no point fighting with you is there?"
    "Nope!"
"Fine, I'll go with you guys to the mall. But don't expect me to help you with any of your shopping!"
"Don't worry, I already know what I want. See ya tomorrow!"
*Click* And just like that, Anne has gotten me to go along with another one of her silly plans. At least Paul is being dragged along too.
The next day at school was pretty much the same as it always was. I slept through my first period like I always did. My second period class, history, was mildly interesting and my third period was science. Now, science is my favorite subject in school and I really like my teacher. My peers, however, were insufferable and made the class more annoying than enjoyable. Fourth period and fifth period, orchestra and band respectively, were as tedious as they had always been. And finally, I had my sixth period English class.
English is probably my favorite class at this school. We read different books and write a lot of interesting themes. Also, I share that class with Ericka. She’s really nice and we get along really well. Unfortunately, she and my other friend, David, are really close and I didn’t want mess with their relationship.
So, after English, school ends and I go looking for Anne. I figured that if she was dragging me along, I could at least give her a hard time about it. I went to her locker, but she had already left and I was left standing by a locker. I grabbed my bagged and headed for my bus.
So, Sunday rolled around and at 10:30 I headed out to the mall. Anne had told us to get here by 11 o'clock, so I had about ten minutes to just think. Shortly after I got there, Paul and David arrived. They live in the same building complex so they tend to hang out a lot. Paul was the kind of person that believed in himself no matter the circumstances and was nice to most people. He had medium length blonde hair and blue eyes that were covered by glasses. He was a bit of a nerd and played in the band and spent much of his time playing games. Despite this, he was the most athletic of our group and rode his bike instead of driving and ran track and cross-country.
David was a touch shy and rather conformist. If someone told him what to do, he would accept it and act with the best of his abilities. He used to have long black hair the he tied into a ponytail, but he had gotten a much shorter haircut the day before. He participated in both orchestra and band and enjoyed discussing music in his spare time.
"Ah, it would seem ol' Cameron beat us again, eh David?"
    "Indeed it would Paul."
"Oh cut the high and mighty act you two, you're both still here before the girls."
"That's because they're walking; we passed them on our way over. In fact, they should be arriving shortly."
And just as Paul had said, Anne and Ericka soon arrived. Anne had her fair share of eccentricities. A good friend, but she could drive you crazy with her odd habits. She had shoulder length brown hair and eyes that bellied the joy and enthusiasm in her. She loved games and chatting with her friends, but she loved to draw more than anything else and could always be seen with a sketchbook.
Ericka, on the other hand, was more realistic but not some much more reserved. She believed that she was always right and would never back down on her beliefs. She had short red hair and green eyes with some blue. She loved physical activities and took dance classes.
