• I scrambled to get up after the force of the shotgun had knocked me over, I had to see if I had hurt it. I looked at the shadow-thing, there was a huge hole right in the center of it. I thought I was safe, but then I noticed the hole geting smaller and smaller until it wasn't there at all. My only plan had backfired, how was I supposed to know those things regenerated. Then a bad thought hit me. If they regenerate bullet holes then those police officers that were trying to keep them at bay must be long gone. Shame, I was hoping they could help. I snapped out of my thought when I felt something gooey wrap around my gut. I didn't even need to look down to know what had grabbed me. It was that shadowmonster thing, dragging me toward itself, trying to turn me into another one of those things. I had to do something, then had an idea. I shot the monster in the same place as last time, I figured it would have to stop and regenerate, giving me time to squirm my way out of its grip. I knew it noticed me escaping, and it wouldn't take long for it to strike back angrier then ever. I had ran out of options but I didn't wanna give up, not without a fight. I ran back into the backroom of the store, looking for something sharp and brutal. I searched into some random boxes and found the most awesome cutting tool ever, well second most awesome. I practically sprinted out, looking for the thing but it wasn't there. I had one of those "Maybe it left..." moments, but I was too scared fron this whole mess to begin with. I looked around too make sure it wasn't there and found a nice shady spot to rest and relax for the moment. It was a hot summer day here, and when you're running half of it, you deserve to sit down for a minute....
