• It does recall Death Note in some form but there isnt special paper required or else specific methods. It does have Hell Girl in there some place I think. I dont have all the details yet though. In this selection she is coming home for the first time in so many years and is about to meet her mother once again... though that is in the next part. But any suggestions would be greatly appreciated =). Enjoy!:

"...Opening her eyes she could see herself back to what looked like the home she grew up in but now more disheveled than before. It seems they had let go of its maintenance all these years. Once there she felt herself go numb not wanting to be there and lamenting her decision to come back home.

The last time she had set foot there was when the fights he and her mother had, had gotten so bad. Things were said and destroyed. She remembers waking up in the middle of the night to her mother trying desperately to defend herself but being a small woman left her unable to with the much larger man overpowering her. She recalls her brother waking up too crying and wondering what was going on. She took him by the hand and locked themselves in her room. Over and over she had said “Don’t worry everything is going to be ok. I wont let him hurt us anymore. I will take care of everything” Once calming him down, she let him slumber in her bed as she went to go see what had transpired. It had gotten quiet, the house seemed like a tomb. She could tell once finding them both in the kitchen that it was the worst it ever was at all. The look on his face, the mean gruff exterior now even more enraged at the site of the young girl. In the distance the neighbors clamoring outside their lawns in the darkness of the night which was now filled with colorful lights, the lights of oncoming policemen.

He couldn’t take it anymore, dealing with the children and their mother, everything wasn’t good, everyone wasn’t good and well behaved as he had always wanted, finding fault in everything they did; so he had no choice but to try and set the house on fire. Just before the fighting he had attempted to do so, and used the fighting as a way to conceal his plan. The detectors hadn’t gone off but the smell began to show itself all over the house by now. Desperately the mother grabs her daughter as if instinct had kicked in. But her brother, he was still asleep. She struggled pleading to her mother to let her go and get him, wiggling free she runs to find him, only to see the boyfriend shaking the boy. When he saw her, he let go rushing to go and get her in turn, but again she had to hide. Giving up, he grabbed his prepared things and left out the backdoor, making sure to hide. Their room now engulfed in flames. Things began falling apart, the house now filled with smoke. Still she went to get her brother, who for the time seemed to not breathe. “Mommy where are you brother isn’t breathing…mommy, where are you…” she trailed off suddenly unconscious from the all the smoke in the air.

The last thing she remembers from then on is waking up alone in the hospital room with nurses and patients passing by the halls of the hospital wing. Once awake she asked if she could see her brother, feverishly looking for the call button and begging to see him. “ I am sorry he isn’t here right now. You try and rest little one, you have been through a lot this night and you need to bring your strength back up” “I cant I want to see him please let me see him. He needs me; he was hurt badly by him…that monster. Please I need to see him” “Don’t move so much, it will only make things worse…” “No don’t hurt me. I didn’t do anything wrong, I just want to see him, let me see him…” drifting off again she desperately tried calling his name hoping somehow he could hear her but it was futile. He had already been taken to the intensive care unit and was under strict watch from everyone trying to keep him alive. Their mother in the meantime was being questioned about everything. She couldn’t bring herself to admit his fault in everything after all she still did love the man. Somehow she was let go as she was treated by the hospital and as the detectives tried to understand the whole situation. In the end the mother lost the battle and the children were sent off into good loving homes. But they somehow were separated much to her disapproval. She had always said that one-day she would go and find him and that alone gave her something else to think about. She knew he would be older now and since she had no memory of his new face, she couldn’t use that this time.

Hesitant she opened the wooden gate now darker from the earlier rainfall than she had remembered it being. Her mind began to draw out a million questions, not knowing where to start first.... "
