• The moon hung low in the wintery starless sky, casting an errie haze over the land below. Crows croaked in the distance, but were drowned out by the harsh, howling wind. Leafless branches thrashed around hastily from the force of the icy gusts of air. Snow coated the land, covering any evidence of anything near. Beneath the snow were slick, lethal patches of ice, waiting to inflict injury to any unsuspecting victim, that happened to cross over it's path. No life could be found anywhere. Everything was dead, from the lifeless trees, and brown crumbled leaves, to the frozen corpses of unlucky animals that were scattered about the ground, resting in snowy graves.

The silent night was interrupted by the noisy sounds of feet crunching through the snow. A young girl approached the cryptic landscape slowly, and cautiously. Her wide, alert eyes scanned the area, searching for any potential danger. her breath left her body in white wisps of warm air. Her black hair peeked out from beneath her fur-covered snow hat. Her arms were hidden beneath a long, black shaw that was cloaked around her petite frame. A scarf, which was wrapped around her neck, concealed the lower half of her face, protecting the delicate flesh from the bitter cold. Despite her layers of clothing, the cold brushed against her flesh, chilling her. She stopped walking, her head turning from side to side, glancing around the seemingly endless winter abyss. A loud crunch behind her caused the girl to turn. Her breath caught in her throat, as her panic increased. The rays of light, cast down from the moon were blocked out by a shadow. She squinted her eyes, struggling to catch any feature from the shadow. She gasped in horror, as a pair of glowing, crimson red eyes appeared from the shadow. A low growling noise emitted from the shadow, causing the girl to whimper in fright. The shadow moved closer, stepping into a brighter spot. The shadow gave way, letting the girl get a glimpse of a seemingly young man.

The man stood around 6 feet. His shoulders were wide set. His body nicely formed. He had crimson eyes, full lips, along with a square jaw. He looked nice, but the girl knew that looks were usually decieving. The man's lips parted slightly, giving her a glimpse at long, lethal fangs. The light from the moon, illuminated the ivory fangs. As she stepped back, the male chuckled in amusement. His nostrils flaring, as he caught scent of the girl's fear. Before she could blink the man was gone. She turned around, her heart racing in fear, as she searched for the man. Her eyes moved about frantically, trying to catch sight of him. A noise behind her caused the girl to tense in terror. Her blood seemed to freeze within her veins. She felt a cold sensation against her cheek, causing her to close her eyes. The man's hand caressed the girl's flesh gently, his thumb against her cheek. As the girl began to whimper and plead for him to let her go, his hands slid up cupping her face firmly, yet softly. He shushed the girl, as he placed a gentle kiss against her forehead. The girl opened her eyes, gazing up into the man's crimson ones. Her body seemed to become as light as a feather, her body relaxing.

The man's lips curved slightly, forming a cruel grin as he lulled the girl into relaxation. When he was certain she was completely relaxed, he tugged on the girl's scarf, letting it fall to the snow below. His eyes locked on the pulsing vein beneath her flesh. His fangs enlongated, his hunger growing as he inhaled the sweet, yet metallic scent of her blood. He slid his fingers down over the girl's eyes, shutting them, before he lowered his head, his lips only inches from her flesh. He hesitated for a moment, before he plunged his fangs into her neck, latching on. He sucked hungrily at the wound, drawing her warm blood into his mouth.

He pulled away from his prey after he sucked the last drop of blood from her body. Letting her fall limply to the ground, as he licked at the last morsels of liquid from his lips. His eyes were hazy with satisfaction, while he gazed down at the small corpse. He turned from the girl, glancing over his shoulder at her body once more, before he walked off into the shadows, soon disappearing.

He chuckled softly as he shook his head, glancing up into the wintry sky, he parted his lips as he spoke "It's funny.. How right before they die, they tend to think that this.. is nothing but a nightmare.. Pity'.
A black mist engulfed the male once more, taking him to another place to find yet another victim.
