• Part 1: Trapped within Ice.

Many people didn't understand how things occurred in the wondrous adventure of the Subspace Emissary. One of these questions was Lucario had been discovered meditating on the peak of a glacier. What had he been doing there? For what reason was he there? Many of the Smash warriors didn't know why, but only Lucario himself knew. It was because of an unknown Brawl fighter, one who was quiet, who kept to herself, and was not one to make friends. A third Princess in Brawl, but she was one who fought very differently from the other two...

Lucario's original location was not the top of the glacier. Rather, he had decided to pass through the cave that ran through the glacier. He was not familiar with this strange world. It seemed that there were hardly any others, other than the odd but hostile enemies he had encountered. Were there other people, if not Pokemon? He would travel around and see if perhaps if there were indeed others who had been pulled into this world.

So far, he had only seen three others from the top of a small rock formation far away, two of them humans with blue hair, and another was a stout, round creature with armor and a mask that covered most of his body as well as his face. He had watched as they defeated a large mechanical monster that was installed with a large arsenal, and it had disappeared, falling down a large hole in the middle of some ruins. Lucario decided it would be the smart thing to avoid them, as they might be bloodthirsty swordsman. It wouldn't matter, because he wasn't the social type. Rather, he would stay away from others, and others would stay away from him. Maybe he should look elsewhere. At least now he was assured that he was not alone. He used his special aura sight to search for some more people (as that was how he had found the first three). This remarkable ability was able to stretch very far, and it would identify anyone within his range. Further away, he sensed a giant glacier, with a cave that had been naturally formed. He was startled to feel the presence of someone else, an aura that was dormant. Was this someone in trouble? He would find out.

Lucario rushed across the desert terrain without effort. He was a Pokemon of great speed and endurance, and he did not tire easily. Within the hour, he had reached the cave that had been so far away sixty minutes ago. He stood at the mouth of the cave, and he felt a cold yet subtle breeze that came from deep within. The walls were thickly crusted with ice, despite the desert temperature from outside. Lucario would have to brace himself against whatever might be within the cave.
He cautiously entered the cavern, taking great care not to slip on the sleek ice.
It amazed him how cold the cave was. It was sub zero temperature, he was sure of it. He could feel the black steel parts of his body becoming as frigid as the icy walls, but it didn't faze him. If he could endure the heat of the desert, he would survive these frozen conditions. He just had to find out who, or what, was trapped inside this cave. That is, if they were in peril.
His thoughts were interrupted as he entered a large part of the cave that was as big as a ballroom. Icicles hung like the daggers of an assassin from the ceiling, and columns of ice as thick as tree trunks were connected to the top and the bottom of the cave. Above him hung a large chunk of ice, almost like a chandelier. Directly below it was a large ball of snow, with four green spikes on the top. But as Lucario approached it, he felt a sense of familiarity... and it wasn't the good type.
The large mass of snow trembled, and uncurled. Now Lucario remembered what it was.
It was an Abomasnow, and a massive one at that. And it didn't look too happy at being woken up.
It roared, making the entire cave shake, and forcing some of the icicles to fall off the ceiling. The large ice chunk only shook slightly. Abomasnow advanced towards Lucario aggressively. Lucario was not one to start a fight, but he had no choice now. The Abomasnow put both of its giant hands together and tried to bring them down upon Lucario's head, but Lucario was already gone, leaping out of the way and sticking to one of the icy columns, a hard to manage feat. The Abomasnow turned and swung his fists again, but Lucario had jumped to the next column. He knew dodging wouldn't save him, but he had to find some way to knock it out. If it was Ice, then he could surely use an Aura Sphere, couldn't he? He dodged another swing, leaped far away, and started to charge up an Aura Sphere. Abomasnow was rushing at him now, but he needed just a little more...
He finally threw the Aura Sphere right as Abomasnow was directly in front of him. It grabbed its stomach in pain, and Lucario took this opportunity to leap high up, push off the ceiling, and strike the Abomasnow in the head with a powerful Force Palm. Abomasnow stood for several moments, and Lucario worried if his attack had no affect. But Abomasnow slowly crashed onto the icy floor, knocked unconscious with no more energy to fight.
Lucario looked on, and nodded. That settled that. Now it was time for business. Lucario looked towards the cave's ceiling, at the giant ice chunk. He could feel the unknown aura emanating from the center. He leaped up, held on to the ice, and tried to see within the ice. Amidst the opaque ice, he could see faintly yet distinctly a lavender color...
Lucario climbed to the top of the ice formation and began to chip away at the stem with the spike on the back of his paw. As it finally became thin enough, the ice snapped, and the ice fell to the ground and smashed with a satisfying crash.
Lucario came down to the ground. Now that he broke the ice open, he had to see who it was.
It appeared to be a trophy of some sort. It was a statue of a feline girl, with her hair pulled back on her head. She wore a strange outfit of a violet tailcoat, white pants, white gloves, and unusual red shoes. At her wrists and her ankles were ruffs of fur that were a part of her clothes, and resembled the ruffled fur around Lucario's neck. Her facial features included a small red gem on her forehead, black eyelashes, and yellow eyes that were as fierce as that of a lion.
But what baffled Lucario the most was the fact that aura emanated from the statue. Why on earth would it have an aura if it was a statue?
Lucario used his aura sight again, and discovered that a different aura emanated from the base of the statue, the golden circle that it stood on. Intrigued, Lucario stepped forward carefully, and touched the base of the statue. Immediately, the room was filled with a bright flash of light. Lucario shielded his eyes from the harsh light, but just as quickly, it died.
Right where the trophy had been, a figure was down on its hands and knees in fatigue.
    It was the cat girl.
She wearily got to her feet, stumbled, and fell. Her back was turned to Lucario, so she did not notice him. Lucario ran over to help her up, but as he approached, she turned around with a startled expression, and shot fire from her hands. Lucario managed to leap in time, but he was shocked. She could control fire?!
The ice melted where the fire had scorched it, and left small pools of water. But Lucario had barely dodged when the cat girl shot another stream of fire at him. He jumped again and landed back on the ground. The cat girl stood with her hands ablaze, posed in a battle stance. Yet again, Lucario had gotten himself unwillingly into another battle. There was only one thing to do in this situation: find out who would win the battle.
