• There once was a girl who fell in love with a boy. They dated twice and the second time, the girl didn't stop loving the boy. She could love no other so she waited. She waited to hear him say he loved her. Many months passed and still he was only her friend. They were close but not close enough. Soon they moved far away from each other but still kept in contact. One day the boy confessed that he loved her. This made the girl ecstatic. She began to laugh and smile all the time. She loved the boy more than she had anyone else in her life and now finally her feelings were returned. The girl thought of the boy as she went to bed and as she woke up in the morning until one day when she logged onto the computer to chat with him and he told her something she didn't want to hear. He told her that he had a girlfriend. This devastated the girl and she cried for two days even crying herself to sleep. On the third day after hearing this news she finally stopped crying. She had decided that so long as he was happy she would be too. She began to smile all the time, never frowning but never laughing. She felt that he would get over the other girl and then she would have him back, but he never did. Years passed and the girl just kept on smiling but now she would cry as she smiled. Silent tears would roll down her cheeks and her parents worried. The girl rarely left the house and was on the computer often, simply talking to the boy that she loved. Eventually she was committed to a mental asylum. She didn't mind because she was still allowed to receive phone calls from the boy. She kept smiling. All she did everyday was stare out the window in her room and smile, occasionally receiving visits from her parents and calls from the boy. One day she heard news that the other girl was now the boy's fiance. This shattered her and for the first time in many years the girl stopped smiling. She soon fell ill and was placed in a hospital. Now all she did was silently cry, never smiling. Her physical appearance deteriorated and she became sickly and pale. Some of the nurses even said she looked like a living ghost. On the day of the boy's wedding the girl died of unexplained heart failure. A week later the boy and his new wife attended the girl's funeral. The girl wore the very dress that she had intended to be wed to the boy in. The boy knew this because the girl had shown him the dress when they were younger. He was saddened but felt a chill. That chill was the girl's spirit. Seeing the boy she loved with the other girl at her funeral had angered her. She vowed then that she would never let him go. Even though she was dead, she would haunt him and his descendants forever. She would tear their family apart and she did just that. Many years passed and the girl haunted the boy. He constantly had nightmares and his wife had 13 failed pregnancies before a child was finally born. The evil spirit of the girl raped the boy's son once he came of age. She would never forgive the boy for what he had done to her and she made sure every member of his family knew that. Centuries passed and the girl's ghost still haunts the family.
