• Boil

There once was a sweet old woman who enjoyed tea. Every morning she would get up and make tea for her self. She was a lonely old widow. Every day the old woman grew more tired and weary each day. So she decided to take a quick nap because her stove is old, so it takes longer to boil. So she sat down but fell asleep and forgetting that she left her stove on, the house caught on fire the old woman not knowing the house was on fire and died being burned alive! But since she lives in a very empty town, someone eventually saw the fire and called the police.
As the years go by, they tore down the old woman’s home and built new buildings over hers along with a brand new neighborhood. Soon the once ghost town city became a large attraction for business and families.
The current owners of the new home never knew about the old woman. Her remains were buried under the new home that was built. But after all when there is a new home, people are bound to move in. The old woman grew angry! The family living there was disturbing her sleep. She most certainly did not want that, so she tried to scare them away, make them leave! But every time she did that, they didn’t notice she was there, couldn’t even hear her they just walked past her or through her. So she thought she would try something different.
    “MOM!!!” said Arisa.
“What is it dear!?” said Mrs.Thyst.
“It looks like the neighbor’s and playing another joke on us they carved something on the wall!”
“”How dare they! What does it say?”
“Um it says ‘leave this place or I will boil you alive.”
    “Getting comfy?” said Mr.Thyst.
“Oops! Hi dad. I didn’t see you there”, said Arisa.
“Neither did I! Welcome home dear” said Mrs.Thyst as she walked over to kiss him on the cheek. But, before she reached her husband she tripped on something”Ouch! What was that? I must have tripped on something.”
    “Are you ok mom?”
“Ouch, I don’t know, what was that?” Arisa looks around the room not seeing anything but a broken heel.
“Mom, I think your heel broke maybe that’s why you tripped.”
“What? But I just bought these! The last one I got from them was 10 years ago, it lasted me that long!”
“You don’t think that was a coincidence? Or are the neighborhood kids really playing a joke on us? But is that even possible?”
“Don’t worry sweetie I’m sure its nothing” said Mr.Thyst with a small frightened tone in his voice.
    “But dad…”
“Don’t worry! I’m sure your mom is fine, Right?”
“Yeah don’t worry Arisa I’ll be fine” said Mrs.Thyst”Come on lets go meet the neighbors”
As the slightly spooked family walked out into the cold weather going from home to home, within minutes Arisa notices little boys and girls peeking out the windows of their home, but their parents don’t seem to be at ease, so they take the child away from the window avoiding eye contact with any of us.
They get to the last house on the block the person outside looks out the window, somehow scared he closes the curtains.
    “I’m sure he’s just shy” said Mrs.Thyst.
“I think that’s kind of rude” said Arisa.
“I’m sure its fine” said Mr.Thyst as he walked to the front door to ring on the doorbell.
“Go away!!” said the old man.
“We just wanted to get to know our new neighbors better!” said Mr.Thyst.
“Well I don’t, so go away!!”
“Oh… then were sorry for disturbing you”
“Hey mom, did u see how scared the man was when we talked to him?” said Arisa “I’ve never seen a man so scared like that!”
    “Arisa, hush!” said Mrs.Thyst
When they get home Arisa is curious and mad, wondering why that old man was so scared. She looks out her window keeping an eye out just in case the pranksters come out again. Hour after hour no one was outside; it got so quiet she began to close her eyes, but she then awoke to a bubbling noise from the kitchen. Curious, she gets up and peeks into the kitchen; she starts sees a ghost boiling water! Its moving pans and everything! The thing turns around suddenly and sees Arisa hiding, “You!” the ghost yells.
Arisa freighted tries to run, but is too numb and falls to the floor. The ghost floats toward her, grabs her by the arm and drags her toward the stove with the hot boiling water, Arisa screams!! Waking up her parents, they come running down the stairs, but it’s to late the ghost threw her into the hot boiling pot sealing the lid. Her parents dumbly stared at the pot, with Arisa trying to push the lid open THUMP, THUMP, THUMP, seconds go by the thumping stops. The ghost is smiling as it slowly disappears, saying “leave this place or I will boil you alive.”
The old man witnessed, yet another homicide…
