• As I looked down on the massive conflict from the safety of the tall cliff, I couldn't fathom any of what was happening. Some of the warriors on the humanoid army looked just like the avatars for my friends on Gaia Online. The apparent leader bared a striking resemblance to my girlfriend Star's avatar, and I saw a fox-looking male humanoid that looked like my friend Silver Sage-General. He even had the ice blade from his avi! Things were REALLY starting to get weirder and weirder. I then remembered my metal automail arms and looked the rest of my body over. I was clad in deep black, armored assassin robes, with matching black pants that had a few tears in the legs. I felt around my neck to find a long, torn blue scarf hanging down across my back, and accidentally burned myself a bit on the small pair of azure fire wings that graced my shoulders. I looked back down to find a pair of blue sneakers/boots on my feet. I then looked to where I was laying earlier and saw a large, bone-like scythe, and a lightsaber hilt on the ground. This was my cue to freak out and think to myself, "This isn't possible....I've turned into my Gaia avatar!?!?" suddenly, a feminine scream laced with pain and fear shot through the air. I ran back to the edge of the cliff to find the Star look-alike being crushed in the hand of a huge, minotaur-like shadow beast. Inside my mind, I heard a voice screaming at me to jump down to the canyon battlefield and rescue her. I hesitated for a second, then grabbed the scythe and lightsaber and pulled a leap of faith off the cliff, yelling, "HOLY SHIIIIIIITTT!!!" at the top of my lungs. I honestly thought I was gonna end up a bloody mess on the ground, but I landed on the minotaurs head somehow. I gripped the handle of my bone scythe and slammed the blade into the monster's skull, sending it crashing to the canyon floor. The Star look-alike wrenched herself free from the beast's hand and jumped to safety. She then looked over to me and began saying, "Thanks. you really saved my...." but then she stared at me curiously, and asked, "Who the hell are you!? I don't remember recruiting you for this mission! Lord Drizzt is gonna freak if he hears that a civilian got involved in this!" I could tell she was upset, but I couldn't really follow her words that well, so I asked her, "Lord Drizzt? Who's that? and what's going on here?!?!?" Star just kept up her stare of confusion. Then, one of the humanoid warriors called out, "Star!!! This battle is going straight down the crapper! We have to retreat! we've lost too many!!!" Star hissed with anger, then nodded, ordering her troops to escape. She then grabbed my arm and pulled me along with her and the fleeing army. Well, that is, until I started feeling all woozy and ultimately collapsed to the ground. She then picked me up and draped me over her shoulder. I was kinda embarrassed to have a girl be able to lift me up like that, but that faded as my vision right before everything started going black. A few seconds later, I woke up, no longer on the dark, mountainous battlefield, but in my dark, non-mountainous bedroom. At the time, I thought it was only a dream, but it felt so real, it had to be something more. But, since at the time I thought it was just a dream, I only said one simple thing...."I have GOT to stop sniffing orange peels before bed."
