• It is said that not so very long ago there lived a very quiet little girl. This girl was mute she would not or could not talk (her parents couldn't quiet figure out which). She would wander around drawing on whatever she could get her hands on (which was usually not paper but more like walls and furniture). Her parents never noticed or cared and as she scribbled sad suns and rain clouds over their bedroom door they would simply sigh and paint over it. One day her mother came up to her scowling "I'm embarrassed by you" she said "How could I produce such a useless ugly daughter. " The mother then thought for a while "No, I didn't you must not be my child" she said pushing the little girl out in the street.

After sobbing for quiet some time the little girl then found a marker in her pocket. She took it out and began drawing on the side walk. As she colored she made her way down the street. She came across a very tall stern looking man "Children should not be wandering the streets by themselves " he said peering down at her. The girl said nothing. She continued to color all the way up the mans leg. As she did the colors spread across his whole body and he transformed into a beautiful butterfly. The butterfly fluttered around the girls head "Why thank you for releasing me from my imprisonment" The butterfly sang. The girl simply nodded clutching the now dry marker in her hand. The butterfly fluttered off into the distance and the girl chased after it. She soon lost sight of it and stumbled down the street looking for something else to color with.
She came across this young boy who seeing her paint stained clothes and laughed loudly at her. "What have you been doing?" he asked. The girl looked down and back up shaking her head. "Your a strange one here play with this doll I took it from my sisters room but I doubt she would care if you had it" he said handing her a very ornate doll. Normally any child would be rather pleased at this gift but the little girl just started to cry. The little boy didn't know what to do at this reaction so he quickly took the doll back "Don't Cry" he said patting her on the shoulder. He then grabbed his back pack "here do you want my markers, they are magic" he said pulling out a marker set. None of the markers had set colors they all appeared white but when the girl took one out and began coloring the markers changed colors depending on what she was coloring. The girl smiled brightly and gave the boy a hug and skipped on down the road dragging the markers across every surface she could.

She soon had to stop as she came across some of her original doodles. She looked around her and it had appeared that she had colored the whole world this thought made her sigh. What was she to color now. She then came across an old clown holding a bunch of balloons. He looked rather sad so the girl tugged on his pant leg and pointed at his down turned mouth. "Oh little girl its the most terrible thing, these balloons have a curse on them and anyone I give them to flies away into the sky" He said almost crying as his make up ran in the heat of the sun. The little girl looked up at the sky and with a snap of her fingers she grabbed the bunch of balloons from the clown and away she went. you see the sky is always changing and the transition from day to night is like a giant eraser. So it was an infinite canvas. Now the girl colors happily bringing clouds and rainbows and sunsets into existence forever and ever. She is loved by everyone because no one can look at a colorful sky without smiling.
