• Chapter One

    Whoosh!
One vamp down, about a billion to go. Accalia thought as she stood, and grinned at the ashes on the ground.
    "Accalia!" whined a boy's voice.
"Well, Eyolf," Accalia said as she turned around to face him. "If you're gonna be late, then you don't get the chance for the fun." Accalia's tongue slid across her teeth as she could still taste the kill.
    Eyolf's eyes widened at her.
    "What?" she demanded.
"You did that just like a vampire."
"Oh stop your knee-knocking, and help me sweep up that ashes. We're meeting Taz, Faust, Chaundra about . . . .Now. Let's go." she pulled out a little box from her small, leather backpack. The box opened, and she pulled out a stick. When she yanked on it, it unfolded, and expanded out to make a small broom.
The mess was cleaned up in no time. "Now can we go!?" she asked him as he was still staring at her.
"Sure." Accalia went behind a dumpster, and started stripping down.
"What. Are. You. Doing?" Eyolf asked as his eyes widened.
"You don't think I'm gonna walk, do you?" she asked. She yanked her shirt off, and threw it in the bag.
"But I've seen you naked a hundred times, I mean we're twins." There he was telling the truth.
They both had creamy tans, mystifying, brown eyes with small gold flecks, tough muscles, and brown hair with blond streaks.
"I know that, but I'm stripping all the way down." as if to make her point she tossed a bra into the bag.
"And you're worried I'll do something, huh?" he asked.
"Yep." her under garments flew over the dumpster, and hit the bag with dead accuracy.
"Wait for me!" Eyolf cried as he threw off his shorts.
    "Well hurry up. It's cold."
    "It is winter."
    "Autumn."
    "Winter." his shirt came off.
    "Autumn."
"Winter." that night Mother Nature was on his side. It started to snow. His boxers came off, and into the bag.
Accalia closed her eyes, and ducked down to change in private.
She made a slight gasp as her joints popped, bones changed shape, and her ears moved, but after that one moment of pain there was complete bliss.
After a minute Accalia walked out from behind the dumpster to reveal Eyolf chasing his tail.
Accalia snarled a warning, and he stopped instantly. Even though he was older by five minutes, she was always in control.
In just a moment their paws hit the ground as they were running. They passed three states until they finally got to their destination. New York.

    Chapter Two

As they walked into the run down building they saw Taz, Faust, and Chaundra. The three were vampires, but they were always careful about blood.
    "Winter."
    "Autumn."
    "Winter."
"Autumn." and it continued like that for several minutes until the silence was broken by Faust.
"Accalia, Eyolf, did you get him?" Faust was the eldest of the vampires at the age of five million years old.
"I did." Accalia said earning a tongue from Eyolf, but she just gave him the bird.
"Please keep those childish follies out of headquarters, please." begged Chaundra, who was the youngest by just three hundred years.
"Oh look, she said please." Accalia growled.
"No what I think?" asked a breezy female voice. "I think that we should keep Aphrodite-wannabes out of headquarters, that's what i say."
    "Hey Idris." Accalia greeted.
"Hello to you too, Accalia." Idris said, she was the second oldest at one and a half million years old. "We need to keep the actions of children, because what will become of us if we aren't around it? We'll get as old as Yoda, and smarter."
Chaundra's manicured nails automatically went up to her hair.
    "I agree." Faust said.
Taz walked in at that point with red dots on his chest.
Accalia and Eyolf stared at him debating whether or not to attack him. Taz was the third oldest, but just ten months new to the 'don't drink blood' rule.
"Oh relax, it was a cow." he said while licking his lips. "A fat cow too." he smiled. "Oh, and this guy wants to speak to us." he walked away from the door to reveal the visitors.
    It was the werewolf king.

    Chapter Three

Accalia and Eyolf immediately bowed as low as possible. Then in walked in the vampire king, and all the vampires bowed too.
"Rise." said the two rulers at the same time. They all obeyed.
"We have something for you." said the werewolf king.
"I need you to bring my daughter back." the vampire king blurted. "Zenia."
"And my son." said the werewolf king. "Vidar."
"And what, exactly, happened to them?"
    "They fell in love."
"Really?" gasped Chaundra. "That is so," she stopped at a look from the two kings. "Bad. Bad. Really bad."
"Will you take it?" asked the vampire kings.
    "Money?"
"As much as you all can carry."
"Okay them." Faust stood up from his seat on the old mattress. "I'll take it, but my members must agree.
"I do!" shouted Accalia and Eyolf at the same time. Eyolf jumped on her. "Jinx! Jinx! You owe me a soda."
    "Get off, Eyolf." Accalia growled.
    "Fine." he, swiftly, hopped off.
    Accalia stood.
"This'll be fun." Taz said, rubbing his hands together grinning with fangs.
"A challenge. I like it." Idris breathed.
All eyes went to Chaundra. "Fine, i'll help." she sighed.
