• Yuffie stood still a bit frozen like a dear in headlights. She didn't know what to do. Run, stay, fight. The first and only vampire Yuffie ever meet was Amos. He might be the dangerous type but he was very aggressive to her. Worry was eating up her courage and hope and the fear settled at the bottom of her stomach.

"Pardon my manners," Yuffie said softly. The last thing she wanted to do was to annoy someone enough that he wanted to prove something to either her or themselves.

"Certainly Miss," the stranger replied but something about his expression made Yuffie feel like getting off the hook wouldn't be that easy.

She stood still for a moment trying to think of any plan. Unfortunately her mind was completely blank. "What is your name?" Yuffie asked figuring she at least like to know who had her cornered here.

"My name is Dean, how about yourself?"

"Rachel," she said lying. From all the weird stuff that was going on, all the warnings Amos gave her she thought maybe someone knew her name.

The man smirked and took slow steps towards her, each step slow and meaningful. 'This part of town is mine. I don't like others marking my territory." Yuffie held still not taking a step back in hopes not backing down would show some furiousness. It was getting harder and harder to too though. Dean moved close enough to be inches away from her face. "I don't like your kind here," he paused and smiled again, "Vampires that is. Not women."

Yuffie glanced up to meet his glare. "I'll go if you would like," she said softly just trying to keep her tone even.

"Nah, thats all right." Dean replied, "Stay please." He laughed and suddenly moved his arms up and pushed Yuffie to the ground. "Now that you're here, might as well and stay."

She fell to the ground with an "umph."

"Aw, come on girlie!" he exclaimed, "Show me some fire! I'd hate to think someone as weak as you was turned!" Dean swiftly kicked her while she was down.

Yuffie pulled her limps together as a kick vibrated through her. I have to get up, she thought, I have to make a stand. The girl crawled away from him then got up on her knees bracing herself against the wall. Dean swung against the wall and Yuffie quickly ducked to miss the blow.
He called out in pain as his fist hit brick wall.

She took the opportunity and quickly moved away from him. "I'm not weak," she replied a bit unsure why she felt the need to say it. Just had too.

Anger rose in Dean as he turn towards the girl as he tried to shake out the pain in his hand. Obscenities fell out of his mouth as he walked to her again. Yuffie stood a few steps back her eyes darting about for something of use. The best thing you found was a trash can lid. "Lets hope this works," she mumbled to herself and through the lid at Dean's stomach.

To her surprise it actually hit the man in the guy. He quickly reached to hold his stomach as trash lid hit him and bounced off. "That's it you little tart!" he yelled.

Yuffie twice she he screamed and started to run away. She heard a growl behind her but ignored it and keep moving. Dean was hot on her heels and before he made it more then a step or to out of the ally he pounced on her. She hit the ground hard and on her stomach with Dean on top of her.

"It's a pity," he said and roughly rolled her to her back before pinning her back to the ground as she tried to kick, punch and move away. "I would have loved to feed on myself." Dean's eyes seemed to gleam with rage and danger. Yuffie was only able to see them for a moment before then leaned down and bite near her collar bone.

Now it was her turn to yell. The two made eye contact again before he smirked and started taking fearsome scratches at her. Yuffie did her best to protect herself even thought there wasn't much of her to do. She leaned her head back and saw feet behind her. 's**t, his helper' she figured and started to loss hope. Yuffie closed her eyes tight not wanting to see it anymore.

A second later a huge weight lifted from her chest. The man that was came to them wasn't Dean's friend but Amos. He stared daggers at the man as he confidently walked up and kicked Dean off her. Yuffie opened one eye at first then both to look at her savior. Dean fell back onto his butt and before he had time to even get up Amos grabbed him by the throat and shoved him against.

"Feral piece of s**t," Amos sneered.

"Amos," Dean replied a bit surprised to see him there.

Yuffie got up on her feet and eyed to two. They might be the same species but they looked as different and night and day. Amos was clean cut, looked like a professional at whatever he did. While Dean looked like.. well.. that an alley was his hangout.

"So they gave you a night off huh?" Dean went on with a chuckle before Amos tightened the grip on his throat cutting him off.

Amos held the man firm as she turned to look back at Yuffie. She looked like she got in a fight with a wild dog, but she would make it. "Are you okay, Yuffie," he asked as the expression in his eyes seemed to calm down just by looking at her.

'Yeah," she said a bit shaky then tried to find her voice again, "Thanks."

"Yuffie is it?" Dean said amused once again, "I thought it was Rachel."

Amos slapped Dean against the wall again. "She is none of your business," he warned.

Dean's eyes crosses at his head hit the wall but when they straighten out he went on talking.
"Amos, do you have a new pet?" he laughed.

A growl come from Amos as he slammed Dean against the wall hard again and let go. Dean was about to say something more but Amos cut him as he walked over to Yuffie. "Never touch her again." he warned and gently grabbed Yuffie wrist taking her out of there.
