• Chapter 25 - Alyss
    What goes around comes around

We walked, smiling gratefully at the rainbow above us. We reached the corner, at which Tetsuya and I separate at. I smiled at Tetsuya, a little sad. "Sorry Tetsuya.. Really. I.. I didn't mean to do all that." He smiled his boyish smile that drew me to him. "It's alright. Really." He stepped closer to me, until I had to look up to see his face. He looked down at me. "Alright. You are now way way shorter then me!" He bent down, and whispered in my ear, "Come by around 6:00. Theres something I want you to see." He pulled away, leaving me red in the face. "Alright. Gotta go home before my mom has a spasm. See ya." He gave us one last glance, and ran off towards his house. "Alyss..? Alyss..?? What happened? Your face is.. is.. literally beet red." Sara asked. I shook my head quickly. "N-n-n-nothing...." I walked awkwardly, as Sara watched my every step. "Strange.. really strange .. Alyss, want to tell me something?" I couldn't hold it in anymore. "Tetsuya told me to go to his house at 6 PM today!" I blurted out. Sara turned away, a little red in her face too. "O-Oh... what... does he want..?" I realized what she meant. "Oh no! Nothing like that! He wanted to show me something." Sara just nodded, and was silent the rest of the way home. "Sara! Alyss! Your back!" My mom ran out from the door wearing an apron, and squished me tightly. Sara proceeded into the kitchen, and winked at me. "Mom..! What are you doing wearing an apron?" She pulled me away. "Oh Alyss we have the most wonderful thing for you! Sara has been helping me until you left. I'm not sure if she remembers but.. Yes well, please head over to the Kageyama's house around 6. Understand?" She smiled at me, but I was not quite sure how to react. "Oh and don't come into the kitchen. Surprise." Leaving me even more curious, she ran off. Sara smirked at me through the kitchen window and disappeared behind the curtains. I sighed and went up to my room. All entry way to the kitchen was blocked, including the window. So I had no idea what they were doing. I decided to use the phone. I dialed Tetsuya's number and it only took two rings before Tetsuya's familiar voice rang through my head. "Hello?" "Tetsuya?" It went silent for a few seconds. "Yeah? Alyss? What?" I felt a little hesitant asking. "What is everyone doing? At your place too?" "I have absolutely no idea. My mom just told me to tell you to come over at 6. But guess what. I know your mom is making a cake, Mr and Mrs Wells are making reservations at our school, and .. my mom... well.." Tetsuya sounded really hesitant, so I felt really worried. "What..?" "I found her when I got home, making... Ah... How do I say this... A dress..." I felt my eyes grow wide. "For...For me?" I closed my eyes. "Y...Yeah.. And.. My mom already has my tux... What are they up to?" I opened my eyes, feeling a little angrier. "Sara knows.. She's helping my mom... I'm going to find out..." "Same here. Kay, call me when you get something." Tetsuya hung up, and I hung up and raced downstairs. I did so quietly though. I heard Sara and my mom speaking to each other casually. "I know." I heard Sara say. "But do you think she'll like it?" "Are you kidding? I'm so sure she'll love it. She said it was one of her top things she wanted to do." I heard Sara giggle. "And besides.. she really would love it.. with Tetsuya too." I heard my mother sigh. "You didn't tell her did you, Sara?" "N..No.... But if I do.. I'll just cause her pain." "No. Alyss is not the type to hold grudges Sara. She will know what is best. Even though you do like Tetsuya, and don't want to hurt Alyss, I think you should tell her.." Sara sighed. "Well.. Okay.. I'll go right now." I ran upstairs as quiet as possible, until my mom called to Sara to wash her hands. "Okay." She skipped my room and ran into the bathroom first. I pulled out a book and read casually. "Knock-knock, Alyss.. Listen.." "You like Tetsuya." I said dully. It hurt, but I said it straightforwardly. "What..?" "You.. like.. Tetsuya." I repeated slowly. "It's okay. It was a little obvious." Even though I was completely oblivious to it.. I thought bitterly. "Oh.. okay.. Well... Uh..." Sara fled my room, completely flustered. I continued to read, but began to sweat at the lines. "What are you saying, Bright?" Hope cried. "I... I... I don't want anyone else but you!" Hope opened her eyes, completely flustered that she had said that. "H..Hope? What... Where..? AGH!" Bright crumbled to the ground, looking completely useless. "Bright!" "H..Hope... Get... Twins... Faith... Shan...dow...." Bright was no longer conscious. However, a spirit flew up from his body, and disappeared into the sky. Hope shook him. "Bright... Bright..!" "How touching..." I said quietly. It felt as though something similar were to happen to me. Sara came running in. "It's... It's 5: 30. Wear easy slip off clothes, flats or sandals and come to Tetsuya's house at 6:00. Tetsuya is locked in so both of you will be there at the same time. I got up eagerly. "Tell me!" "No!" Sara ran out following my mom. I sighed. But I was happy. "What do they have in store for us now?" I wondered aloud. Just as the thought came out, the phone rang. "Hello?" It was Tetsuya. "Tetsuya..." "I know what it is.." he said quietly. "It's a school dance theme. And, we... we... we... ah... we...... We're..... .. how do I say this.." Tetsuya said irritated. "Say it." "Okay.. Well. We're.... No.. You... are... my... fiancé..." "Wh...What? Put it on speaker to exclaim. " "Okay.." I heard a beep, and I clicked my phone for speaker. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!" we yelled together.
