• Chapter 5: The Legend
Justin stood at the angel, dumbfounded. “What….what are you?” Justin said slowly, pointing his finger at the angel while trying not to faint in utter amazement. The angel smirked widely. The angel looked like nothing he had ever seen before, yet looked so familiar. Its wings shown miraculously on the dawning light as it stood by Justin’s side, still having that smirk stretched across its white face. “What am I?” It repeated the question loudly, making Justin’s ears rumble statically. Its voice was beautiful yet terribly powerful and terrifying. Its voice reached across the land and into the heavens, making the very ground beneath their feet shake. Birds slowly came out the ground by the sound of its voice and then flew out into the sky, wings flapping and blocking the heavens. Suddenly a phoenix arose out the ground, its flames touching the grass and trees, yet nothing was scorched. Justin gaped in amazement as multiple creatures came out the ground, all in different varieties. Griffins reached their claws from within the earth and slowly drifted out, flapping their wings in unison with the other airborne creatures. Sirens drifted from amongst the water and past by Justin’s face, running their fingers on Justin’s chin. Justin blushed and turned to the sky as the sun started to dim as a fierce dragon shot flames from out its mouth and into the blistering sky. The flames seemed brighter than the sun and attracted Justin’s attention heavily. The dragon flew gracefully through the sky, spitting beautiful yet deadly flames through the air. All of these creatures boggled Justin’s mind and made his head slightly hurt, making him hold onto his head while digging in his shaggy blonde hair. “I am you Justin…I am inside of you….” a voice called from beside him. Justin suddenly turned his vision back toward the angel. He had totally forgotten that the angel was by him. He was too baffled by the amazing sights that lied ahead of him. “You’re…Inside of me?” Justin said slowly, pointing to his chest. The angel nodded softly. “We have a lot to discuss Justin.” Justin nodded as if actually knowing what it was talking about, but quite honestly he knew nothing of what this ‘discussion’ was going to be about. Justin just store at it, with his hands in his pockets. The angel sighed and then blew in the air. As he blew into the air, the air became windy and the climate became cold. Then suddenly, the environment took a dramatic change. Instead of a beautiful land full of wonderful creatures, the environment changed into a kingdom, with a gigantic castle and many cabins. The castle was full of many people that looked the same as the angel. and was obviously a sort of capital in that world. A tear drop fell from the angel’s eyes and fell onto the ground. Justin looked at it in surprise. So it has feelings? Justin thought to himself. The angel then slowly lifted its pale palm to its face and scrubbed its eyes. He sniffled a bit and then turned its vision to Justin. “This Justin is where I was born, in the land of Shperia” the angel said, slowly lifting its wings and floating amongst the other citizens at this wondrous place. The smell of bread filled Justin’s nose and he whiffed it in and moaned happily. Wow…that smells good…he thought to himself, placing his hand on his stomach. It growled and complained as if about to break out of his body and rush to the bread. Justin stopped whiffing the bread and then slowly placed his hand off his stomach and into his pant pockets. “So… why have you brought me here?” Justin said, feeling a bit left out being that he was the only one with no wings. The angel peered down to Justin and smiled. “This place looks beautiful doesn’t it?” it said. Justin nodded slightly. “Yes, yes it does, but I’d really would like to know why we are here.” Justin replied. The angel nodded. “Well this was, as you could see, a beautiful city….but…” The angel then blew air into the wind again and the change in scenery repeated itself, except this time instead of improving all got worst. At the location they were at their where brutally terrifying creatures, some wielding weapons and some bare handed, yet still looked awfully powerfully. Now where the Creatures where located where even worse than the brutes themselves. Amongst the violent mercenaries of death, A great tower which seemed as if endless loomed amongst the sky. Surrounding the fortress laid a long metal gate with multiple carvings of mystic signs. The sky was dark and there was not an inch of grass that laid about the ground. It was covered with a loutish dark purple. Justin shivered as the creatures passed them, peering down toward Justin with their demonic eyes, yet seemed not to notice him. Justin changed his vision to the angel. As if reading Justin’s mind, the angel dug his hand into Justin’s hair. “Don’t worry child…it’ll be okay, they cannot see us, we are merely drifting in the past.” He said with a wide and peaceful grin, revealing a wide set of beautifully white teeth. Justin smiled, obviously delighted that there was nothing to fear. But even by the Angel’s reassurance of security, Justin still seemed a bit disturbed by the destructive scenery surrounding him. Justin then twisted his head over at the miraculously beautiful angel. “So how did the wonderful city get this way?” Justin asked softly, almost speaking in a whisper. Even though the Angel assured him of safety, Justin still felt the need to talk softly or, he feared at least, the brutal creatures may sense them. The angel hesitated to answer for a split second, but then after a short period of time merely lifted his arm and pointed up at the allusive castle that hung by a seemingly invisible line high above the sky. Justin peered into up into the dark scenery and saw the seemingly demonic castle. Its towers where covered in a creative yet unrelevent pattern of thorns covered in a dark purple ooze that was overlapped with a bloody red color. Justin store off at the amazing tower in bafflement. Its stones reached high up amongst the clouds. A dragon with fierce fangs and a purple covering loomed over and practically scanned the tower, drifting its tail and wrapping it around the massive purple ooze. But out of all these dark and demonic sites, there was one thing that caught Justin’s attention in almost a flash. He noticed that what this angel was pointing at was not only the castle itself, but what stood amongst one of the openings of the castle. Creeping out with a devious smile, laid what seemed to be an empress. Like Justin’s apparent ‘ally’ this beautiful thing that lay up amongst the opening of the dark fortress had wings, but unlike the angel by Justin, this one wore a pair of Black wings with an extra layer of purple covering the edges. This woman (or thing) wore a dark purple tiara on its head and she had a dark black whip with a darkened purple handle that lay in her right hand. She clutched it tightly. Under the tiara she wore bright silver hair with dark black highlights. Her face had a perfect complexion and Justin would’ve fallen into her beautiful blue eyes if it weren’t for her menacing grin that laid upon her face. Justin peered up at the other angel’s face and looked back at her in bafflement. “So….that’s supposed to be the person that totally messed up this world?” Justin asked a mixture of surprise and confusedness contained in his voice. The angel sensed the bafflement in Justin’s voice and then knelt down by Justin’s side. His hair wisped around Justin’s when he knelt down toward him and when it did Justin felt a warm feeling in his body, as if even his hair generated a force of an incomparable light energy. “Listen Justin…..”He started, talking slowly so his words would pass through Justin’s ear smoothly. “Don’t be deceived by her good looks! She is nothing but a demon….but then again it’s not all her fault…” Justin tried to comprehend what the angel was saying into his ear. There was one question that laid into his head and he was determined to let it out. “But...how did she do all this?”he questioned, happy he released that question out from his head and into his mouth. The captivating angel merely peered away from Justin’s face and looked down onto the ground. The wind started to gather up and dark purple leaves brushed up against Justin’s skin. Justin’s hair flipped and floated with the wind as if a choir singing in unison. I wonder what he’s looking at…..Justin thought to himself. He then, with slight hesitation, fearing that he might not approve of what he sees, peered down toward where the angel was currently standing and saw something that baffled him and amazed him at the same time. Covering the purple ground where many signs and symbols that seemed so well thought and complex that Justin couldn’t even see the meaning of them. What laid in or by the symbols was the thing that seemed most confusing and the signs seemed irrelevant to this yet they laid next to each other. Materials. Upon the ground laid a variety of multiple materials varying in different shapes and sizes. There where miniature and petty materials such as little twigs and tiny dolls, to massive objects such as logs and dragon fangs and huge cracked open eggs that who knows could lay in them. Justin shuffled these objects and found no distinctive pattern to them. Justin scanned the objects twice and then looked back at the angel who was, as Justin, peering at these sophisticated signs. “Alchemy……”The angel whispered to itself softly. As he spoke those words the wind suddenly ceased to move and a dark purple lightning bolt streaked through the sky, practically splitting the sky in half, making a distinctive and robust crackle. Justin store at him in a confused expression, his left eyebrow rose up by the top of his head near his shaggy blonde hair. “Alchemy? What’s that?” he asked the being, scratching his hair with his left hand and shoving his other hand inside his pockets. The angel peered away from the obviously intriguing signs and peered at Justin grimly. The angel’s expression was, unlike before, more grim and serious and stern. He let out a soft sigh. “We need to talk Justin….there’s a lot I need to tell you….”he said, looking more slump than ever. Justin, still wearing a confused expression upon his face, nodded softly and swiftly. Once Justin nodded, the Angel’s face became increasingly less grim and he then let out a bright smile. “Okay…here’s all what happened….”
