• {With Haylee}

    -Haylee Dragmir, 22 years-old, is sitting on her mattress stripped of sheets or pillows, writing in one of her many tattered notebooks. A stream of bright summer light comes from an eastern window. Haylee stops writing, looks up, watches the tiny dust particles and tries to catch one, but fails. She hears footsteps from the staircase and looks to see who it is. It is Erin.-

    Erin: Haylee, are you ready to eat yet?

    -Haylee writes in her notebook the events that just took place. Erin waits for her answer. Haylee says nothing. Erin nods and goes upstairs. She's not in the mood to argue.-

    -Erin Sanchez, 22 years-old, is Haylee's only friend and provider. She worries about her friend everyday. Erin is a secretary at a small elementary school in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. She lives in a small house with her boyfriend, Ricky. Haylee lives in their basement.-

    {With Erin}

    -Erin is sitting at the table in her vivid yellow kitchen with her head in her hands. Ricky comes behind her with a plate of blueberry pancakes and places it in front of her. She looks up at him.-

    Ricky: Here's your breakfast, my love.

    Erin: No, thank you. I was going to go to The Original Pantry Café before I went to work.

    Ricky: Aw, come on! Please?

    -Erin sighs-

    Erin: Fine, but if I'm late, I'm blaming you.

    -Ricky grins and sits beside her-

    Ricky: YAY! She eats at home for once!

    -Erin laughs and starts eating her breakfast-

    {With Cameron and Victoria}

    -Cameron bursts through the doors of a two-story suburban house with an enraged look on his face and two pink suitcases in each hand. Victoria comes running after him out of breath.-

    Victoria: Oh come on, Cameron! You're not seriously kicking me out so soon, now are you?

    Cameron: You heard the judge. We are officially done and I get to keep my house and my money.

    -Cameron puts the luggage into the trunk of a taxi, hands the driver some money, and turns to face Victoria.-

    Cameron: You ready to go back to your new boyfriend?

    -Victoria rolls her eyes and gets in the backseat of the cab.-

    Victoria: You always were the immature one. Try growing up and maybe you'll find a wife who will actually love you.

    -The cab drives away and Cameron is left standing there, repeating his ex-wife's last words in his head. "Try growing up and maybe you'll find a wife who will actually love you."-
