• Chapter One: Mornings

    ‘Ring, Ring, Ring.’

    ”Hello?” a sleepy voice said.

“Time to get up. Make sure your brothers are awake.”

    “M’kay Mom.”

    “Bye.”

“Bye.” ‘Man what time is it?’

Looking at the clock it read 5:30.

‘Guess I’ve got enough time for a shower.’

Walking into the bathroom the young girl turned on the shower. Upon stepping in the shower she heard someone call her name.

    “Amber.” There was a pause.

    “Amber” they called again.

    “I’m in the shower Marky.”

“Just making sure your up. I’m going to go ahead and start breakfast.”

“M’kay” Getting out of the shower she got dressed in a purple top, black pants and green Converses and dried her hair. She then decided she needed to get her other older brother up.

“Kevin get up!” She yelled knocking on the door.

    There was no answer.

“Kevin, it is to early for this. Get up!”

    Still there was no answer.

Sighing the ravened haired girl said, “I’m coming in! Hope your descent.”

She opened the door and walked over to the bed. “Get up dumbbut!” pushing the young boy off the bed.

    “5 more minutes.”

She shrugged “Okay, But its not my fault if your late and Dad yells at you”

“Fine! I’m up.” He said in a near growl. The young ravened haired boy sat up on his elbows.

“Go ahead and get a shower. Marky’s got breakfast cooking.”

“Ohmigod! He’s gonna poison it!” His eyes widen in horror.

“Of course he’s not. I’m eating. If I wasn’t …” she gave him a side long look, “That would be a different story”

He rolled his eyes. “Get out so I get my shower.” He said throwing a pillow at his younger sister “I’m out! I’m out!” She put her hands up in surrender and walked out the door

On the stairs you could already smell the food.

“I smell bacon.” Amber said in a singsong voice.

“Did you get lil’ Kevy up?” Marky said from the stove.

“You know he doesn’t like to be called that.” She said pouring a glass of sweet tea.

    Marky chuckled “I know”

Amber shook her head, “You 2 are impossible”

“Who 2 are impossible?” Kevin asked from the door, drying his hair with a towel.

“You and me Kevy” Marky said. Kevin glared at him.

“Already fighting and it ain’t even 7:00.” Marky put a plate of food in front of his younger siblings.

    “Eat up. I’m a get a shower.”

    “M’kay”

    Kevin said nothing.

Marky shook his head and walked upstairs.

“Man I love it when Marky cooks!” Amber said digging into her breakfast.

Which caused Kevin to look even more pissed off.

“How long are you going to keep sulking?” she asked putting her arm on the side of the plate. “Your gonna have to get over yourself one day.”

“Well today’s not that day.” He finally said putting his plate in the sink.

“I’m going to go watch T.V.”

“Alright” She said sighing. ‘I still don’t get why they don’t get along.’ She shook her head and put her plate in the sink

“Come on little people. We gotta go or were gonna be late and Dad will yell at us.” Marky said putting his hair into its usual low ponytail.

“God forbid we be late.” Amber said rolling her eyes.

“Come on get your book bags.” The younger siblings did as they were told. Amber had on her purple and black messenger bag and Marky’s black and red one. Kevin had one just like it but his is blue and black.

“Let’s go” Marky said taking his book bag from Amber with a nod of thanks.

“Shotgun!” Amber yelled and ran to the black 1967 Corvette with red true flames coming from the wheels were. The other 2 boys shook there heads and got into the car and they were off.
