• I swung myself back and forth, remembering the last few moments I saw that man's, Ryuu's, face. His white hood had been pulled down for only a few seconds, revealing the gold circlet in his long blond hair, his glowing red eyes full of a mixture of hatred and happiness; sick, sick happiness. I was totally oblivious of Keigo as he walked up behind me. "Hey, Yuki." he said softly. My 22 year old brother knew me really well, so he understood when I turned in the other direction. "I brought the coffee, and I wanted to know if you're doing any better." he said. I turned back around and tried to look happy. "Thanks, Keigo. I must look awful." I said before grabbing my burning coffee and pouring it down my throat. " Easy, Yuki! We don't want you choking, now do we?" he laughed. I tried to grimace, but his spiky black hair looked so funny with his penguin suit, so unclassy. I couldn't take him seriously with him looking like that, so I started to burst with honest laughter, the first genuine fit I'd had in three weeks. "That's better! I knew you'd get better, now, we'd better get back before they start partying!" Keigo chuckled. "Not without me they don't!" I chuckled back. "May I have this dance?" He said, bowing and holding out his hand. " Of course, my good sir!" I leaped out of the tire swing, took his hand, and we skipped back to the ceremony. Right before we got there, though, I noticed that a certain two parents were missing. I stopped. And so did Keigo. "They went off over there- look, there they are." Keigo said. Kana's parents were off to the side a little, having an obviously important argument. Actually, the only one arguing was Kana's dad, Gin. Her mom, Yura, was on her knees quietly weeping in front of him. I let go of Keigo and headed towards them. "Not a good idea, Yuki. If you come in now, things'll only get worse." Keigo yelled after me. I ignored him completely. "... she was useless, Yura, useless! She had no purpose in this world, in fact, it's GOOD she's gone! I don't know WHY you obsess over her!" Gin was yelling. "She was our CHILD, Gin! How could you be so selfish?" Yura screeched. "Well, for starters-" Gin said before I cut in. "What, Gin? What were you going to say? I dare you to finish your sentence. See what happens!" I yelled in his face. "Oh, why don't you go cry som-" He tried to say before I punched his face. "Yuki!" Yura screamed. "It's ok, Yura. I'll handle this jerk. And why do you stay with him, anyways?" I said to her. "Well... I-I... I honestly don't know." She said. "YURA! How could you side with this child? After all I've done for you and that FOOL!" Gin yelled at her. "And you!" he said, turning to me. He brought up his hand and tried to slap me, only to be dodged and punched in the gut. Spitting up blood and then walking away, shooting venom filled glaces at me. I walked over to Yura and helped her to her car.
