• The Time and Space travel passed me by, with no tinkles of hope left for me. It saddened me in a way, but life must go on. I must go on. It was no use crying over spilt milk. He was gone. I was alone. Nothing can stop that. Fate had decided to pull us apart, after all. Nothing can change Fate’s decision once it is decided...
Making my way towards school with a forlorn feeling, I kept wondering. Did he make a right choice? Did I make a right choice? I hope he did. I wish him happiness throughout my life. Here and there. He did say to me once...
    ~flashback~
“No matter what happens to us, promise me one thing,” he said.
    I nodded, eyes teary.
“Promise me that no matter what happens, we will never be apart, in heart and soul,” he continued, squeezing my hands in a gentle way, “Goodbye, Maia.”
And with that last whisper, he was gone, forever.
“Goodbye, my love,” I whispered to the wind, hoping to lead my farewell to him.
    ~end flashback~
It scares me. I never felt so alone in my life. I-
“Hello!!!! Earth to Maia!!!” a voice hollered near my ear.
I jumped, turning to see my friends, all looking at me. The girl who hollered in my ear, Janice, was leaning near my face with her hands on her hips.
“You seemed to be spacing out lately. Are you okay?” Janice asked.
But before I could answer, the classroom door opened and the teacher came in, which attracted the students to hush and sit down.
“All right children. Before we could start the lesson, I want you to meet our new student. Come in please,” the teacher introduced.
The door opened and a handsome young man came in, not just any young man but someone of my age, a 17-year-old.
As the teacher spoke, I understood more clearer who he was, not bothering to listen to the teacher or the sighs and giggles of the girls and the laughing from the boys. He walked gracefully towards me, like he would when I was with him, and I turned a shade redder with every step he took. He sat down beside me, smiling.
    Then, the torture began...
    ~Lunch~
Walking my way towards the rooftop, as always, I felt something familiar. Or rather, someone. I had so many questions to ask of him. Like, why does he look like him? The same ruffled, raven hair, blue eyes as clear as the cloudless sky, the tanned and muscular body?
When I arrived, I saw the new boy, back leaning against the concrete wall and looking at the skies. He then looked at me, acknowledging my presence, with a smile.
“I have been waiting for you,” he said, his voice sounding the same as the one whom I loved.
“Who really are you? What do you want with me?” I asked, trying to sound brave and nearly failing.
Even if he could sense me tensing, he still smiled at me in a gentle way, which irritated me because it reminded me of our time together in my other life.
“It seems you have forgotten. Akim saet kan Maia nowt kiel hor. Beste se, Maia,” he said.
My eyes widened, knowing the language he used. Time and Space.
    “Detros?” I whispered, shocked.
He nodded, smiling even more. My eyes was filled with unshed tears as I looked at him.
“But, how? I-I mean, I s-s-saw you, d-d-d-y-dying,” I trembled, tears now shedding.
“Well, it seems Fate wanted us to be apart but I think Hope wanted us together,” he said, walking towards me and hugging me.
I returned the hug, burying my face on his chest.
“We’ll be together forever, Maia. Hallos ther,” he whispered.
After that day, I never became sad again. With him at my side, I was always happy. I will always be happy in Detros’ arms.
