• BLOOD RED ROSE

    Chapter one:
I was fixed on a girl, my throat burning with hunger. I was ready to lead her out and end her life. I walked over to her a normal thing to do at a party. Red light from the lanterns made a strange glow while party guest laugh and talked. She looked up at me and I was suddenly dazed. I looked into her big deep green almond shaped eyes hidden by a blanket of her dark brown hair. All placed on a round heart shaped face. A normal girl but I couldn’t take her life. It confused me a creature of the dark it was my nature. For some reason I wanted to know her, to know her world. Maybe acting like a normal teen was getting to me but, I started talking to her. I heard her heart race. Of course all the females acted that way to me. I had jet black hair that covered half my face and sky blue eyes that peeked out of my curtain of hair.
I’m Alex Rain. A teen vamp. Go to school all that. It’s ok for me to go in the sun light. Nothing happens. Vampires can be killed like any one else, we just have a inhuman beauty, are super strong and are faster then a bullet. Oh and we drink blood. It angers me because there are all these books about non-human eating vamps but there’s none of those. Were actually helping the Earth by making sure the human population doesn’t get out of control. (Which we haven’t succeeded.)
“I haven’t seen you at school, are you new?” I said trying to get info out of her. “Yes, just moved from New York.” She said like she was answering a question a teacher asked her. I could tell she was the type that was shy to people she just meet. “So how do you like it San Francisco?” I said just wanting to hear her voice. “ Its different, both big famous cities but totally different people and weather.” She said blushing deeper every word. “What’s your name?” I said forget about that important fact. “Lane, Lane Black.” She said shyly. “Maybe we’ll she each other at school.” feeling my phone vibrate in my pocket. Sad to have to say goodbye. As I walked out I saw her turn her head and saw she had one blue streak in her hair.
I drove my beetle down the street, (apparently other vamps got to drive fancy sports cars) at a speed of a slow sixty miles an hour (which is slow for me). I turn the corner to my drive way. I walked into my modern white square house (My mom likes modern designer stuff) too deep in thought to notice my parents (the vamps that turned me) looking at me like I was possessed. My face must have looked ridged and not like my care free self. What had come over me? Was I in love? Impossible, I a creature of the night in love?
Just then my little sis, Lilly came in. “Did you already have dinner cause were going out?” she said in annoying voice only a little sibling could make. “I’m not hungry” I mumbled. “Mom and dad are worried about you” she said in that annoying voice. “Leave me alone” I said angrily. Just then she was gone. Finally I had time to think. Her face kept coming up in my thoughts, and at that moment I made a decision.

    CHAPTER TWO:

The next day I walked over to her before class, she was surrounded by other students with a grumpy tired look on her face. “Hi” I said shyly. She looked up at me sleepily while the rest of the students stared at me bug eyed. It was a crisp cold windy day (as always) and she shivered under all her layers. “Here” I said handing her my jacket. The rest of the students looked at my jacket like it was a tissue I just sneezed in, while she had a big smile on her face which warmed me from head to toe. She eagerly put on my jacket and looked up at me for what to do next. Just then the bell rang and I walked her to class. “So how was chemistry?” I said not sure what to say. “Good, easy” she said confidently. “Maybe we can ask to be partners” I said hoping she would say yes. I heard her heart race. “Yes!” she said excitedly. “I mean ya, that sounds cool” she said in a low voice.
We walked in and I walked over to Mrs. Morunds desk and said as smoothly as I could “Can me and Lane Black be partners?” “Of course” she said confused. “John Rosa Mendro” she called across the room “change seats with Ms. Black.” John got up and dragged his bag across the room while Lane had a big smile on her face and walked quickly and excitedly to the seat next to me. “how did you do that?”
“I don’t know what your talking about.” I said, not wanting to spoil my secret. “I’m watching you.” She said. I chuckled under my breath. At lunch I sat alone. I was popular when I first came but when students that hung out with me started disappearing so now every one is scared of me. She came in with crowd around her, laughing. I waved to her but her friends told her not come over. She looked over and shrugged.
When she walked to class, I met up with her and asked something I shouldn’t have. “Do you want to go out with me Saturday?” I mumble. “ya, pick me up at my house 6:30 sharp, it’s on the corner of Wild Wood and Park Manor, right side.” She said with a huge smile on her face. “k, I’ll pick you up.” I said.

    Saturday night:

I drove up wild wood in my little beetle. I saw her house and drove up to the corner and got out walked up the stairs my heart beating faster. I knocked on the door and I heard foot steps and there she was, in a blue dress and footless tights and black slip on shoes. “ready?” she said and I came out of a trance, “ya, what movie do you want to see” I said awkwardly, I felt so different around her, “how bout, vampire mayhem?” she said in a little voice. “sure” I said looking disappointed. In the car she talked about it, “I don’t see what is wrong about vamps” she said angrily “we eat chicken so we’re no better than we are, I mean our we any different than chickens, it’s just the food chain.” She looked up to make sure she didn’t offend me. I was surprised maybe I should… “I’m a vampire” I said calmly, but she responded in the weirdest way, “ok ,but are you one of those vamps that don’t eat people?” she said, “no” I said flatly. “good cause they’re wimps” she said flexing her arms. She could of screamed anything but she didn’t do anything.
