• A girl…a simple girl was forced to marry into a house full of unusual creatures, creatures that thirsted for human blood. But she was the only exception. Although she was a princess, she was commanded to stay in her room, all day and all night. Since the day she had left her normal home, she hadn’t seen sunlight or the pale light emitted by the moon. She felt trapped in her own room. Getting fed up one day, she decided to grab a lamp, and make her way out the door. At night, when mostly everyone is out hunting, leaving her alone in this damp castle only fit for creatures like them. She quietly walked down the hall and saw the full moon after a period of 3 months. She gazed at it for a moment, before smiling to herself and continuing her exploration of the castle. She walked by hallway after hallway, not finding anything of interest, until her eyes fell on a hallway filled with tons of portraits. Picture frames hung one after another, seeming to be never ending. She walked into the hallway, being oblivious of the “Do Not Enter” sign. She walked by many generations worth of portraits, but none of them seemed to be amusing. She was about to turn away and walk back from where she had come, but stopped when she noticed a unique portrait hanging at the very end of the hallway. She slowly walked up to it and lifted her lamp to get a better view. In the picture frame, appeared a young boy around 10 to 11 years old with jet black hair and sharp blue eyes. He had an innocent and cute smile on his face as he held a red wine glass in his right hand. In the background, she could see that there was a large window, much like the window right behind her and also on the floor beside the boy’s feet appeared to be some sort of dog, and it looked as if it were sleeping…too soundly. She stared into the boy’s eyes for a moment, but then felt a sudden gush of cold wind. Her heart pounded loudly in her chest, as she decided to turn back and return to her own room. Before she could take another step, something latched onto her shoulder. Her shoulder felt cold yet wet. She started to gasp for breath; she slowly turned around to look at what had grabbed onto her shoulder. Her eyes fell on a hand, with claws digging into her shoulder drawing large amounts of blood. She panicked and looked up at the portrait and saw the same boy staring back at her, but the smile didn’t seem too innocent anymore, her eyes fell on the edge of the frame, where droplets of blood made their way down to the pure white floor. Fear for life spread across her face, as her eyes yet again fell on the dog, but this time the image became clearer. That was not a dog, it was human, and to be more precise it was her. She fell onto the ground right beside the boy’s feet, as she slowly withered away, by having the boy suck every last bit of her blood, trapping her into the picture with him. Replacing the previous one with freshness of her blood…
