• We made it to Mitch’s house in only a few minutes top. I was more tired than I thought, I slowly made my way to the spare room and gently fell asleep; I did not want to do so because I knew I was going to get a lashing from Damon when I was to see him next.
When sleep consumed me, I noticed that Damon was nowhere in sight. In fact I was on the white road. I smiled with happiness; I knew that this was really where I belonged. There was a man, who looked about my age who stood in front of my path.
“Sammy, I knew you would do what is right, you always have.” The man smiled sweetly.
“Thank you Mitch, you were my inspiration though,” I smiled just as sweetly. “ You’re the reason I will go down this path with no regrets.”
“I know it has only been a few weeks or so when we met, but I love you.” He said almost as if he were singing the words I had so longed to hear.
“I love you too, Mitch.” I said with a huge grin on my face. I could feel the blood rush to my cheeks. My dream Mitch and I sat there and enjoyed each other’s company, until I awoke.
I awoke in Mitch’s arms; on his bed. I clearly remember falling asleep in the guest room. My head was gently on his chest, I was almost sure he didn’t know I was awake because when I turned my head to look up at him, he looked shocked.
“Hey there sleepy head.” He said as he seen my hazel eyes wondering on his face.
“Why am I in here?” I asked looking at his room and the bed I was on.
“I got anxious, I always do when I’m away from you. I don’t know how to handle emotions when I’m away from you for any period of time.” He smiled at my curious face and continued. “ Especially with all this danger lurking every corner.” He held me tighter to his warm chest. Although I did not stop him from doing so. I just smiled and snuggled closer to him.
