• She slammed the door. Her mother was horrid, she hated her guts.

"I'm not going to deal with this anymore!"She muttered to herself angrily. Her mother found one of her most prized drawings, and burned it yelling at her the whole time.

"Caroline! You know we can have no such nonsense as drawings of such non existent creatures like the...the unicorn or the dragon under this roof!"she lectured with a cruel voice meant for the devil's wife. At least thats what Caroline pictured her mother as.

Caroline continued stuffing clothing and all other needed items into her bag. She grabbed her drawing pad and a few extra ones, her wallet which had the money she was saving up for a tablet. As soon as she decided that she was done she opened the window and jumped out into the dark night, with only street lights to guide her way.

"Argh,I can't see through all these branches!"She said to herself as she tried to go through the neighboring forest, not wanting to stay in the cursed town that pinned her down, ripping out her freedom. She knew that she would never care about going back there again. So she thought.

A sudden silver light flickered in front of her flashlight."Wha-what was that?"Cataline whispered to herself. She thought of all the horror movies she saw and knew that she probably shouldn't turn her light off,but she felt a wave of calm come over her, telling her quietly to trust the forest and turn her light off. She reached her shaky hand towards the button and clicked it,turning her flash light off and sending her into complete darkness for a few moments until her eyes adjusted to the moonlight, which wasn't much but enough to make sure that she wouldn't trip. she began to creep forward to the area where she saw the silver light.

She reached several bushes and felt an invisible force push her down which she nearly released a yelp in response to if she hadn't seen what was in front of her. It stood there,in its magnificent glory, sparkling in the moonlight. Its entire body was a single shade of white,a long horn grew from the middle of its head, twisting and turning around itself, becoming smaller and smaller tell it came to a final point.

Caroline had to remind herself to breath, she quickly got out her notepad and began to sketch the magnificent creature in front of her making sure to get every detail before this moment passed. Of course she knew that her drawing could never turn out to match the unicorn's beauty,at least she would have something to remind her,and she would no longer have to worry about this drawing being burned by he cold hearted mother,
