• There was blood on the walls. There were intestines on the floor. But there was one thing that made my heart stop. I saw my dad's head on the bedside table, with his body lying in a slump against the wardrobe. Mum's torso was tossed against the windowsill while other parts were dotted around. I fell to my knees. What was the point of living if your loved ones had been torn to pieces? I heard an evil hiss, and a black liquid-like object slid across the floor. It suddenly rose up from the floor and grew two arms; a twisted head appeared a serpentine tongue protruded. I stared at the monstrosity with horror.

It stared at me with devilish delight. I cowered in fear as it seemed to lap up my fear with delight. As the monster gestured to both sides I looked on in terror as two companions walked up to me. One had the body of a spider and the head of a tiger, while the other one had the body of a wolf and the head of a fly. Steadily the advanced on me. I ran to the bedroom as they started bounding. I flung open my wardrobe and yanked out anything I could find. After I threw the TV, One of them seemed to stagger back and fall, green blood oozing out of his head. I jumped over the putrefying carcass and dashed to the stairs to escape.

As I ran for the stairs, another creature jumped for me and both f the creatures cornered me by the banister. I peered over the edge of the banister. Why did we have to live in a mansion?! What would be more painful? Being torn apart by some sick creatures or fall and painlessly break my neck?

I spiralled down the house from the fifth floor, down to the ground floor. It surprisingly seemed like a second! I slumped on the tiled ground. The creatures looked down, and then plodded off, disappointed that they couldn't kill. I woke up and was surprised I survived. As I broke into a run to the door I stopped as I saw something I didn't want to see again.
"Going somewhere?" The horror said in a hissing tone.
