• Chapter 2: An Ending Dream

People have no idea what it's like to all of a sudden lose a friend. Even though my friend wasn't human she still was there when I needed her. It makes me cry knowing that I won't wake up in the morning with Lucy licking my face. This was a week after Lucy left me. My parents were home from their Saturday shift and my father didn't come home side by side with mother like usual. I asked my mother where dad was and she ignored me. I still don't know what that was all about but dad was missing for a week. I hope he comes home soon enough for New Year's day but atleast he was here for Christmas. New Year's Day is only about a week away and I want dad to be home so bad because I miss playing ball in the backyard while mom tanned and Andrew watched asking for tips on baseball. I have no idea why my mom tried to tan in the winter, she must have been cold in that 2 peice bikini of hers. We used to have snowball fights and built snow forts and snowmen and I miss gran's old holiday pies she brought over for the week or so after Christmas. My life has been very strange lately and I really want to know whats going on. My school life has been awkward lately because I am an honor roll student with all A's and B's and all of my grades have dropped to C's and I need to get into vet school because I want to give animals a second chance like Lucy never had. I have to live my life the way I want and not let my emotions get in the way of catching that escaping dream of mine. I will never stop trying to be the best I can be. I might even want another dog sometime. Anyways, I can't wait till I can open that letter at 12:00 a.m January 1, 2008 because I am dying to see what that note is all about, hopfully that will give me a hint about what's going on here.
